Games

Sunday was a fun day! We went to church at my "home" ward it's always fun to see all the people that I grew up with. But kind of embarrasing too because as much as we try to teach our kids to be good and quiet it always turns out that one is rotten! My dad said it must be fun because every Sunday is a new adventure. If that is what you want to call it!! We went home after Sacrament meeting and we decided to take it easy and we watched the latest Harry Potter movie (not my favorite one) and then had a snack of my mom's chicken rolls, potatos, and frozen fruit cocktail. It was so good!! Then we headed up to Bluffdale for Nathan's birthday. Tanner has wanted to go there all week to see Nathan and Justy (Justin) and play video games. He loves going to their house. We got there and ate dinner, and Nathan opened his gifts. We got him a nerf gun...hope he liked it!

Kaylee and Kylie

The kids had a great time playing downstairs and we played Taboo. I had the hardest time playing..I couldn't think of things to try to get my team to guess the words. We ended up losing in a play off between Jason and I. Won't hear the end of that one!! We had a great time though visiting and playing.

We went back home and played Phase 10 with my dad (couldn't believe it he has been working so much and not a whole bunch of sleep), Kim and Trent, and Lori. We had so much fun!! We stayed up until after 1:00 but it was well worth it. I think we ended up basically on the same phase so there was no clear winner although I know a couple of people that would say otherwise!

We were cleaning up when Trent and Jason decided that it would be fun to scare mom. So we all snuck downstairs (I don't know how quiet I was being because I was laughing already!) and mom was in her craft room working on my sister's christmas gift when my husband let out a huge roar. Mom looked like a deer in headlights! Then she didn't know whether to laugh or cry! We were all dying of laughter, and Kim being prego had a little accident which made me laugh harder, and Trent and Jason were dying of laughter, and Lori who was supposed to be recording the whole event didn't get much because she was laughing so hard. Mom was a great sport and although was pretty scared (and luckily didn't hurt her neck) had a good laugh too!

WOW

I love BYU football and all I have to saw is WOW! Can't believe that they pulled off that win last night. I thought that the game was over but it's always fun to watch a miracle!!

Holiday Shopping

I have the hardest time shopping with all 3 kids. I don't know how some moms can take all their kids and go shopping. I can't that is for sure..I get really uptight and forget half the things that I am looking for. I'm sure I will get better at it when they get older or maybe I will be smarter and just hire a babysitter!

Jason got back from Rock Springs and we were so excited to see him! The kids didn't want anything to do with me, just their dad which is fine I was okay with that. I decided that we should go out to dinner so we went to one of my favorite places and the kids were amazingly good!

After dinner we got the kids to bed and Jason and I were able to go out just the 2 of us. It was lots of fun!

Woggle Finger

The last time we were here my dad threatened Tanner with the "Wobble Finger" when he wasn't being good. So now Tanner and Kylie are afraid of the wobble finger until tonight....we were sitting down for a late dinner when dad started teasing Tanner with the "wobble finger". So Tanner came back at him trying to do make his finger shake like dad's and saying "woggle finger, woggle finger!" Now Tanner doesn't seem too frightened by it but instead it's a big game.

Today I was feeling so much better! Yesterday I woke up sick to my stomach and stayed in bed for over half of the day. I was so tired..I guess my late nights really caught up to me. Thanks to mom and Lori they took care of the kids for me I am so grateful to them. We got up and dressed and then headed to a store to get part of the gifts for my friends and neighbors. Hope they don't mind but they will be getting them late...sorry! I guess instead of a Christmas gift it will be more like a New Years gift. I couldn't find what I was looking for in AZ and found it all here in Utah. Then we headed to Kenzie and Hunter's school to listen to their Christmas program. Tanner and Kylie loved it they were singing and dancing to the songs. They thouroughly enjoyed themselves...then we were off to the candy store. I wanted to get a few things for the Christmas Stockings and since it's tradition to have Startup candies in my stocking I had to do it especially since we are here.

Kylie with her sucker from Startup's Candy

We headed home and then back out with mom to run a few more errands. It took a lot longer than expected and I was so glad that the kids were as good as they were. They were not perfect both Kylie and Tanner ended up in the cart, and then they were fighting over the box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch so they started hitting each other. It was so fun....not. Sometimes I wonder why my kids can't be perfect like I was (hahaha!!!). I see other kids standing right by the cart listening to their parents and whenever we go to the store with our kids they are all over the place. I get so stressed out....maybe some day I will get the kids to listen to me. Bed time was a joke too, first they went to bed late, then I was trying to read scriptures they were all over the place, and Paige was screaming and wouldn't eat so I ended up giving her a bottle and she actually took 2 ounces! I was so happy..so my dad went up to help with the kids that were jumping on their beds and boxing. I love him to death but he layed down on the floor and fell asleep and the kids were still going crazy. Thanks dad for trying. We finally got them to settle down and now I am going to go to bed too!

Travel

Jason was gone in Washington from last Tuesday night and didn't get back until about 8:00 Saturday night. I'm proud of myself for doing as well as I did when he was gone I just need to go to bed at a decent time. The week went by pretty fast as I was trying to get everything done that we needed to before we left for Utah for Christmas. I had to make sure we all had enough warm clothes, Christmas stuff taken care of, house cleaned all the normal stuff. Thursday we went to the park and met friends from church and the kids had so much fun! It was great to see them running around outside having a good time. That afternoon my friend watched all 3 kids for me as I went and ran a few errands. It was so nice to be by myself yet it was wierd every time I went to get out of the car I felt like I should be getting someone out! But I thoroughly enjoyed myself thanks Karolyn! Friday just did laundry and more laundry, and cleaned the house. I went to bed semi early because I was wasted from staying up late doing projects in a quiet house. Plus I found out Jason wasn't coming home till later Saturday night so I didn't have to be ready first thing in the morning. Saturday morning we just continued to get ready to go, and then we went and got a pizza for lunch...and then Jason came home! I thought that the kids would have been in bed, but they were way too excited to see dad. We finally got the kids to bed and then we packed the car to get ready for the drive to Utah.

Sunday morning at 6:00 we left and really made pretty good time. The kids did so well...even Kylie. She usually cries and whines most of the trip but she did amazingly well. I was so tired and don't remember most of the car ride! I think I slept for about 1/2 of it...glad I didn't have to drive! We got to my parents at 4:30 and unloaded the car. Kylie ran right up to dad and jumped on his lap and started talking. It was pretty cute, I think he has a new buddy! Andrea and Amy and families came over to see us and of course the kids were way excited to see cousins. It was a great day!

Crazy

Dentists....I have never really had a hard time going to the dentist. I just have a hard time making the decision to go and finding one that I like and can trust. I went today and had to have a piece of my baby tooth removed from my gum. I originally thought I had a popcorn kernal stuck in between my tooth and gum, but no the dentist that pulled 7 of my baby teeth seemed to have missed just a tiny piece and it decided to make it's way to the surface of my gums and cause some trouble. It was a painless procedure and I am so glad that I am now baby tooth free! And I don't have any cavities!!

Paige went to the doctor again today (she went last week because she had the croup) and had her 4 month checkup. She is now 15 lbs 11 oz. and 24 3/4 inches tall. She had to get some shots today she wasn't too happy about that but is doing really well.

Today I had lots to do in order to be ready for the Beehive Christmas party. I stayed up way too late the night before baking some treats, and doing some uniterrupted cleaning. And of course the kids decided that they needed to get up early. We finished cleaning the house and ran to Target. Tanner and Kylie were so excited to have the girls come over it was nice because Tanner even wanted to vaccum his room. He kept asking all day if it was night time and if the girls were coming over. They came over and he had so much fun! I hope the girls had a good time. We had a gift exchange they were pretty boring though no one was taking other gifts away. Then we had all the treats which maybe wasn't such a great idea because they got so crazy!! I don't know what got into them we tried to get them to sing some Christmas songs but they decided that it would be more fun to yell them. Of course then Tanner and Kylie thought it was okay to yell too, so that ended really quickly. But it was fun to have them over, and hope they had a great time.

Kylie fell off the bar stool and got a nice bruise on her cheek. It was awful I was watching her and then I saw her fall but it was like I was in slow motion and a couldn't get to her. I am just glad that all she got was a bruise!

Camping

Who would have thought that a camping trip would be planned for December? Seeing how I grew up in places where it was common for it to snow in December I guess a campout in December seems strange (unless you are builing a snow cave to sleep in). I am finding out that their are different rules here in Arizona so our YW and YM Standard night was originally planned for October but due to conflicts it was rescheduled for December and the class presidencies decided it would be fun to camp. So the plan was to have dinner, and then Standards night and the girls would camp out and the boys and parents would go home. I wasn't planning on sleeping over due to the fact that I have a 4 month old but would attend the program portion. But things changed and I was needed to stay overnight because we didn't have enough adult leaders so of course I was happy to go. I will admit I was a little nervous first because it's been a really long time since I have been camping, secondly the forecast called for rain, and third I had a nursing baby at home. Don't get me wrong I was looking forward to being with the girls and the leaders. But I was still really nervous about going and if I was going to be warm enough etc. I am sure we have had a great time, but Friday came around and it started raining and I mean really raining. We totally need the rain here in the desert, but I didn't think we would actually get it the day we were supposed to go camping. Let me just tell you Jason was laughing all day long. I think he thought it was pretty funny to think of me camping in the rain. In fact I am sure he would have loved to see me do it. Maybe I will just to show him that I'm not as big as a baby as he thinks.

So the campout was cancelled, although we still went to the White Tank Mountains and had a great dinner put on by the bishopric, and had a great Standards night. We did fight the rain and the wind and the cold the whole night but we had a great time. After the program was over we headed over to Becky's and had treats and snacks. We sat around the fire pit and got warm, making smores, and drinking hot chocolate. Most of the girls were inside playing a game and having a great time. Even though we didn't camp, I think it was a pretty memorable night!

Thursday Night Craft

I was trying to think of something for the kids to do to keep them out of trouble...and I remembered I had the stuff to make candy cane reindeer. They had a lot of fun glueing the eyes and nose on, and Tanner loved wrapping the "antlers" on the candy cane. It kept them busy for about a half an hour which was really nice. After Tanner finished making Rudolph he went and brought me a dress and my shoes and told me here is your green dress put it on and your shoes, get ready and go to church. I guess he was tired of me and wanted me to leave. I would have loved a break but I just put the kids to bed early instead of leaving just the break I needed!

Rain

I love the rain and it is raining today. I love the smell outside when it starts to rain and the sound of the water gushing by the front door (we don't have gutters here in Arizona so the rain puddles right outside the front door!)

I decided that I needed to go to the mall in Scottsdale to get Paige her Christmas stocking from here so she could match the rest of the family. And the closest store is about an hour away. So the kids and I made a day of it, we got our lunch made and then headed out. It started to rain on the way so it took a little extra time but we got there parked ate our lunch and went shopping. It is always amazing to me how many people comment about shopping with 3 kids. Of course I had Kylie and Paige strapped in the stroller and Tanner did a pretty good job of holding on and not wandering too far from me. It was a pretty productive trip and I was quite pleased with myself that I made it without any castrophies. Paige was so good, except we had a blowout and I didn't realize it until I picked her up and put her in the carseat. I had to change her before the long drive home sorry for the car that was waiting for my parking space!

Saturday we went shopping again, we had to get some presents for the party that we were going to that night, and take back some prior purchases that we decided not to keep. And of course we had to make our weekly Sam's club lunch date! We always have lunch at Sam's which consists of hot dogs, pizza, and the blue drinks. This week since the kids have been sick we got everyone their own drinks. We haven't spilled but for some reason we had trouble today. Kylie dropped her whole cup and spilled her entire drink all over the floor, and then Tanner dumped part of his on his pants. We went to Old Navy and I got the kids some new clothes for Christmas. Then we went home and got ready for the party. I finally had found a baby sitter after I swear 10 tries. I was excited for a night without the kids. Tanner kept asking me when his girl friend was coming that was pretty cute although she was a bit too old for him!

We had a great time at the party talking with friends and the food, and of course the gift exchange. We play the game that you can take a gift 2 times after it has been opened, and it always makes the night interesting and fun. My gift was stolen a few times, but ended up loving what I got! The best part of the evening is coming home to a clean house and kids that are sleeping!

Here is a picture of Paige and her new favorite past time....

I am grateful for..

Family....I had so much fun this past week. We had Jason's parents and two of his brothers and their families in town for the holiday. And can I say 3 two year olds that means trouble! I was worried that they might not get along but I think that maybe they got along too well because they.... got in makeup

trouble

More trouble

It was a house full but I wouldn't want it any other way. They came in early Wednesday morning and left Sunday afternoon. On Wednesday we baked 6 pumpkin pies a cherry (for me!) and apple pie. We got all the 3 salads done, and I even made taco soup for dinner. Thanks to all the help of my mother in law and sister in law! I was feeling pretty good. Thursday morning I woke up and went to get the turkey ready to put in the oven and found that it had leaked all over the fridge.....yuck! We got the turkey in and I got making the rolls and then all the last minute preparations. I think that it turned out well and hope everyone else did too!

After dinner, we needed something for the kids to do so Jason and his brother Mark took them to the pool and went swimming. I never would have thought we would be swimming on Thanksgiving, but it was warm enough thanks to the pool heater!

Jason went and played football with his brother and some guys from the ward, and on the way home he was supposed to pick up a paper so we could see the ads. Let's just say I won't have him do that again, he got the wrong paper and so all the girls went to try to find a paper while the turkey was cooking and the guys had the kids at the park. We went to 3 different stores and finally got some at Walgreens. We had to look at the ads and plan for the next day's adventures. I have never been shopping the morning after Thanksgiving so I didn't know what I was in for. And lets just say it was an adventure don't know if I will do it again, but I did get some Christmas shopping done. Someone actually tried to take something from my cart, luckily Randa (my sister in law) was there to make sure they didn't grab it!

We tried to go to the mall on Saturday but decided that we didn't want to fight all the people and we couldn't even get a parking space. So we headed out to Cabela's and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't all that busy. We let the men walk around and look at the guy stuff and we took the kids to see the fish, and the animals. Next stop was Costco, my sister in law April had a costco card so we went and shopped there. I was able to get Kylie and Tanner a gift each there. So I did have a pretty successful day shopping wise.

Saturday we ended up going to Home Depot where we looked at the beadboard and crown molding....future projects and Jason got some things for our outdoor lighting. I think we ended that night playing Scene It, the game about movies. The girls beat the guys, and I don't think they liked it too much. Oh well, I don't think we'll play that movie anytime soon.

Sunday morning I got up at 5:30 and got ready for church, it ended up being that I didn't need to get up that early because I was the only one to go. I taught the lesson in Beehives so Paige and I went to churchand I actually was able to enjoy the meetings because I wasn't wrestling with kids. We got home and I made cookies and had lunch and then everyone left to go back to California. Tanner was so cute he and his cousin Landrie packed his bags so he could go with them. I told him that I needed him to be home with me and he said no you don't mom I just want to go to California. I talked him out of going by telling him we could put up the Christmas tree!
Love this picture of Jason's dad the glasses are perfect for him!

Flowers

I love flowers I don't have one specific kind that I love they are all so pretty. But on the top of my list is Gerber daisies. When we lived in California we went to Half Moon Bay I think the Pumpkin Festival and on the way home stopped at one of the farms. We looked around and they had flowers and so I picked out some Gerber Daisies. I love the colors and how they just seem happy. We just had Young Women in Excellence tonight and our theme was Bloom. Wish I could take credit for coming up with such a great ideas but Erin came up with it. She is amazing; so talented and I am in awe that she does all that she does. I love working with such amazing people, I have learned so much by serving in this calling. Each of the parents of the girls came up with a flower that they thought represented their daughter. It turned out so nice!

Paige was laughing so hard at Kylie yesterday and then Kylie started laughing too. I love little moments like that. Paige loves her brother and sister she'll watch them and she will stare. She likes to see everything that is going on she doesn't want to be left out.

We have been playing a lot of hide and go seek lately. It's the kids favorite game although I don't think that they quite get the idea of being quiet. Tanner will go and hide and start laughing and making noises so that we can find him really fast. His new favorite hiding spot is the hall linen closet.

Kylie calls Tanner "Tatter"...today I heard him say "Kylie my name isn't Tatter it's Tanner!!" Thought that was funny.

Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Kylie loved it once she figured out all she had to say was trick or treat and she could get candy. Her goody bag was so full I am surprised that she could even carry it. Tanner was ready to go home pretty quickly. We went to the trunk or treat at our church. It was a good turnout...lots of people and a lot of fun. I think that we even managed to get the fire department to the church. The Haunted House triggered the fire alarm.

Kylie was Ariel Princess, Tanner was Lightning McQueen and Paige was Flounder. I know Flounder is a boy, but thought it would be cute to have both so we did.

Tired

I hate it when I am so tired. I woke up this morning at 5:00 to Kylie crying. I went into her room and I couldn't find her. She sounded muffled so I looked under her bed and there she was! I don't know why or how she was under there but she was. Instead of falling asleep in her bed she came to ours, that is always a mistake though because she is a crazy sleeper. She always ends up kicking either Jason or me in the head. I got up and was ready to go back to sleep. So needless to say I didn't do much today except frost sugar cookies! That was fun, the kids had a good time cutting out the cookies and also frosting them. I remember my mom always used to make us sugar cookies for our classes for Halloween. She always had them decorated so cute and did so many of them. I get tired of frosting them after 2 batches, and they don't look all that cute!! I think that Tanner and Kylie had fun though and that is really all that matters. We went to the park and let the kids play for an hour or so it's finally not so hot. We are enjoying the open windows and fresh air!

Yesterday we had a busy day, I made the dough for the sugar cookies, and then I made bread. I love the smell of fresh baked bread. One of my favorites is warm bread with butter melted on it with honey. We downed a whole loaf at dinner, because it was so good! I guess I wasn't all that busy it just seemed that way because I was baking all day. We did get to carve our pumpkins. Tanner had so much fun! He loved carving it and helped dad make the ears he was so funny!

Kylie was interested for about 10 seconds and then didn't like the fact that her hands were going to get dirty. So she left me to carve the pumpkin myself, Paige decided that she was going to scream, and after a valiant effort from Jason I had to save him and take her. She finally quieted down. So about an hour after we started the whole pumpkin carving event, I finished and I was so not into it anymore that I just finished it, nothing fancy or cute about it, just wanted it done. It's not letting me post a picture and I am too tired to try to figure it out so I will do it later!

Coyotes, roadrunners....

So we can now add a coyote and a roadrunner to the list of visitors to our house. Last Saturday I was putting laundry away in Tanner's room and I looked out the window and thought nice dog...there is a coyote in our yard! I'm sure that it has happened to others but I was quite shocked and yelled at Jason, who then took off outside to scare it away. Well about 10 minutes later I hear him yelling at me and guess who was back!? Well he had come back for his dinner which consisted of a rabbit which Jason scared out of him and it was dumped in our yard. Jason was watching the baseball game and saw it walking across the fence line. I didn't realize that they could jump so high. I didn't get a picture of it, sorry. Well just Friday Jason yelled at me to get the camera, and there was a road runner walking across the fence line. I did get a picture this time!

Let's see this past week has been pretty busy doing what I don't know! But we did go to a rest home with the MOM's club I am part of. The kids got to wear their Halloween costume's and go on a costume parade for the people there. I had a great time with the YW at church on Wednesday the girls put together personal progress binders and then we played a game at the end. It was so much fun! We played the same game when our ward had just been created and there were only about 10-15 girls there. This past week we had a huge circle of about 30 people! It's amazing how much we have grown.

One day Tanner decided he was hungry and helped himself to the cheese.......

Let's see Kylie is Kylie and loves to dance to Mermaid in the study, she also likes to put on her glasses here is a picture of her.

On Saturday we went to our subdivision Harvest Festival. It didn't really feel like fall due to the almost 100 degree weather but the kids had fun. Tanner loved the gourd bowling, and the sack racing. Funny story he finished his race and took the sack off and his shorts had fallen down! I guess it's probably not that embarrassing when you are only 3 1/2! I thought it was really funny. He was so excited to get his face painted. I thought he would want a ball, or superman, no he chose a snake, and one that went over his entire face! Oh well he thought it was pretty cool. We thought for sure Kylie would want to get her face painted too because there was mermaid. She really didn't like the idea too much!
I am extremely proud of Tanner, he is potty trained! And not only that he can get through the night without an accident. I thought the day would never come...now we have to work on Kylie but 2 sets of diapers is better than 3!!

Time Flies!

Time sure goes by so quickly! Our sweet little Paige is now 3 months old! She has discovered her feet, and has started grabbing onto toys. It's so much fun to watch her grow! I was lucky enough to have my friend take some pictures of Paige the other day. I love how all of them turned out, and thought I would share a few.

State Fair

Saturday Jason got up early and overseeded the lawn. I am so happy because now we will have green lawn all winter!! Then we headed to Target to get flu shots. I normally don't worry about mine, but with Paige so little this year I don't want to take any chances. Hopefully Jason won't get sick, last time he had a flu shot he was more sick that winter and swore he would never get one again. I don't think I forced him to get one, but he says I did and if he gets sick I will never hear the end of it!

Jason got a call from a friend in the ward inviting us to the State Fair. So we thought that would be fun. It was fun to go and be together but it was expensive!! I didn't realize how expensive it was. The kids had fun going on the rides, Kylie loved the pink elephants, and Tanner loved any car themed ride. And the fact he could ride all by himself.
We had enough and Tanner did not want to leave. He cried the whole way back to the car, in the car, and fell asleep finally! But when we got home woke up and started crying again I don't want to go home! He finally settled down after he had some food, and got a bath! But we don't think we will go to another State Fair for a while!
Sunday was good, I gave the lesson in Young Women's, I am sure not a great public speaker! I get so nervous and talk so fast, who knows if I even made any sense at all. I guess that is something I will eventually get better at. We were last to church because Jason had to go to an early morning meeting, and I couldn't get all kids ready in time even though I was up at 5:20! After church Jason made us lunch and I took a nap as did Tanner, Kylie, and Paige. We had a dinner of hotdogs and Jason had a leadership meeting so I took some Young Women invitations to ouraround, although I didn't have a whole bunch of luck delivering them. Hopefully it will be better the next time I try! Then home and to bed!

Good Days

This week has gone better than expected. It has been hard having Jason gone, but I am surviving!

  • Monday we were supposed to meet some friends at the park for play time and dinner, and we waited and waited it got dark and we were just about to head home when they came. We ate McDonalds and the kids had a great time!
  • Tuesday Paige laughed at me! Granted I was tickling her but it was so cute, and I love her smile and her pretty blue eyes. Tuesday night a friend brought us dinner, and one of the most thoughtful gifts ever! I was so touched by her friendship and thoughtfulness that hopefully one day I can be like her! She brought me a yummy smelling candle, a bag of good cookies, goldfish for the kids and the book I am a Mother by Jane Clayson Johnson. Just what I needed thanks so much! We went to Target to get a couple of "things" and I end up spending a lot. But we got a birthday present for a party the next day. And then home to bed!
  • Wednesday we did stuff around the house, and then I went to YM/YW. We went to an improv show so I had to find someone to watch Tanner and Kylie for me while I went. I needed to help drive. My good friend Cherice watched the kids for me. She is so great, so I was able to go with the girls. The show was really good once I got there. I was almost late getting to the church and Paige cried the whole car ride there, and I ended up leaving the show to feed her. But it was fun and I think all the kids had a good time too. I picked up the kids from Cherice's came home and put them to bed, but the stinkers took a while to go sleep.
  • Thursday our friends the Williams called and we met them at the park for a picnic lunch and playtime. Tanner and Kylie love playing with Ryan and Nathan and it's always fun visiting with Rachel. We went home and Kylie, and Paige took naps and then Cherice and Tage came over. We got out our Halloween decorations and started putting them up. It was fun to visit and decorate. Then one of my young women had a volleyball game so we headed over there to watch. Tanner was upset because he wanted to see Lori. I tried to explain that Lori was far away and we would watch her play volleyball again sometime. Once we got inside it was fine, and then Tanner had to go potty! That is always an adventure. We made it but I have to help him and try to get Kylie not to touch anything. Doesn't always work as you anticipate it to. At least there wasn't an accident! We stopped afterwards at McDonalds and got dinner, and then back to Target. Had to take something back and get breakfast for my birthday! I was so tired and the kids didn't cooperate well tonight. Paige was screaming so I put the other two to bed and they were in there playing, and I think jumping on the beds! I finally got Paige taken care of and I think at about 10:00 the other two were finally asleep!
  • Friday I woke up to Jason calling to wish me a happy birthday. He just had to rub it in that I was now old! I know I'm not that old but I sure am having a hard time with the 30 thing. I had phone calls most of the day wishing me a happy birthday. It was so nice. I cleaned house in the morning and my friend Erin brought me her two books and a cute pink bowl with pink m & m's in it! I loved it!! Then I got ready and Cherice came over and watched all 3 kids while I went and got a pedicure. It was so relaxing and she was so nice to watch all of them for me. She made me cupcakes and the kids all sang happy birthday to me. After she left Jason came HOME!! He brought flowers and a gift. It was so good to see him. The kids and I were so excited. We then opened the presents my mom had sent home with me the last time I was in Utah, and then I opened Jasons, it was a new camera! I love it and am so excited to start learning how to use it! Then we were lucky enough to have a sitter so we could go out to dinner. We went to Chili's and just walked around the new shopping center. We found a nice chest for Jason's study at Ross. It was so nice and relaxing to have some time by ourselves. We need to do that more often!

Weekend

What a great weekend. I tried to get a babysitter for Friday, but after I asked 3 different girls and they all said no, I decided to bag it! So on Friday night we took the whole family and went to Sonic and got dinner. I love the slushes the strawberry is my favorite so I was in heaven. I also needed to run to the store so it was perfect, Jason and the kids stayed in the car watching a movie while I ran in and got the stuff I needed. Fry's had some stuff on sale, and then I made us go to Albertson's to get some cereal and the ribs for dinner on Saturday. Paige was not a happy camper, I must have eaten something that upset her tummy. But we made it home and the kids went to bed and Jason and I fell asleep on the couch! It's pretty sad when we get tired at 9:30 and fall asleep on the couch, oh well!

Saturday we got up and watched General Conference. Well as much as you can watch with a 3 1/2 year old, a 2 year old and a 2 month old all crying and getting in to things. It was really good though I enjoyed all the talks that I heard. Since we had gone out to dinner the night before I wanted to fix barbque spare ribs, and potato salad for dinner. So I prepared that so that Jason could eat before Priesthood session started. We were able to listen to the second session better because all 3 kids fell asleep! We had a yummy dinner (I love it when everything turns out well!) and Jason left for the Priesthood session. I took the kids to the park it was such a nice night! They had so much fun. Tanner ran around and played and Kylie really enjoyed it too. She was having so much fun climbing and going down the slides. It's nice that the weather is cooling down that I can take the kids to the park. I promised them that when we got home we would make cupcakes and frost them. Tanner requested orange frosting and of course Kylie wanted pink! So we made cupcakes and had fun frosting them. Then it was off to bed!

Sunday was a nice day too, although it was the start of a long week. We listened to the morning session of conference, and then helped Jason get ready to leave. He ate some leftovers then left for the airport! I was sad, but know that I will be alright until he gets back. He told the kids that he was leaving for work. Later when I let the kids go outside Tanner said "lets wait 20 minutes and dad will be home!" I wished that would work but not this time! The kids and I had a lazy rest of the day, we watched the last session of conference and then played. We had breakfast for dinner, and then went to bed. We'll see how the rest of the week goes!

Paige at 2 Months!!

I can't believe that Paige is 2 months old! Time goes by so fast and she is getting so big. This past week she has been sleeping through the night..we'll see how long it lasts! But it is so nice to have a full 8 hours of uninterupted sleep. She coos and talks so much, and has found her tongue. She loves to stick it out and smile at the same time, it's pretty cute!

She now weighs 11 lbs 15 ozs, and is 24 inches long. She is filling out so much, her cheeks are getting so chubby, and I love it when she smiles. And one of her favorite activities is to look at the ceiling fan and talk to it and smile. It's pretty cute to watch her.
When we were in Utah my mom made her some really cute blankets. The yellow one is so soft, and I loved the monkey one. The fabric is really cute. Thanks mom!!
