Tanner's first day of 1st Grade

Tanner was so excited about his first day of school. He was a little nervous too because he doesn't know anyone in his class. We picked out his clothes the night before, got most of his lunch ready, and all his school supplies. He didn't even fight me about going to bed it was a miracle. He is in Mrs Candland's class and we got the 8 am start time. I was a little disappointed as I would have liked starting at 9:15 a little better but we will have to do good with the early morning thing again :-). This morning when he woke up he was so happy, but I think he was a little nervous because he couldn't eat much of his favorite breakfast, eggs and biscuits with honey. I sure hope he has a great day and can make some new friends! Sure love this boy!!
He told me I was only allowed to take 3 pictures...whoops took a few more than 3! Kylie is missing as she said it was too cold, boy she is in for a surprise in a few months!

See you at 2!

Bowling

We utilized the kids bowl free at Fat Cats. We went with all the cousins and had a super fun time. It was so fun watching all my kids want to bowl all by themselves. Each had their own "style" of bowling. I can say that my favorite bowler was Tanner. He didn't want any help and wouldn't use the stand. He did pretty good, and I only closed my eyes once a turn.

Can't believe this kid stayed asleep for most of our bowling experience. Sometimes I wish I could sleep whenever and just be pushed around in the stroller. That is the life!

After his nap he was all smiles!

Fun day thanks Grandma!

Chairs

Jason and I had a lot of fun with this project. Originally I thought I would be doing this project all by myself but I was pleasantly surprised. We worked on it together and we didn't even argue once! I loved the way the chairs turned out we got the chairs cheap off KSL.com and then I got an even better deal on the fabric. My mom had gone in to Deseret Book and they were getting rid of all their fabric, 75% off! I got a great deal and saved a lot of money!

I have other plans with the left over fabric so stay tuned!

Hunting

We have been hunting at our house....
Grasshoppers that is. Since our yard looks like this

The kids have had a blast looking for hours and keeping the grasshoppers and giving them names. But of course they let them go after 24 hours and the hunt begins all over again!

Ouch

The other day I was vacuuming and putting a few things away when I heard the hurt cry from Paige. I look over and there was blood everywhere. I got her to the bathroom and got some pressure put on the wound and tried to calm her down. A s I was trying to figure out what happened I got the first story of Kylie throwing her wallet at Paige. I couldn't quite figure out how that would cut her eye.....but then I got a crying Kylie that decided that she better tell the truth and she told me she threw a pair of scissors at Paige because Pagie was teasing her by taking her money. I was so grateful that the scissors didn't hit her eye. Things could have been a lot worse. We got her cut to stop bleeding and we discovered that she didn't need any stitches thankfully, and she actually kept a cold rag on her eye to help with the swelling. Paige loves telling people that Kylie threw scissors at her. It has been interesting watching her eye change various colors...hopefully we won't have any more of these!

9 Months

Well we finally got Cameron in for his 9 month checkup. He is a very healthy happy little boy. He is very vocal and is crawling like a champ. He has even mastered going up the stairs...but hasn't quite got the going down part yet. He likes to play in the toilet and will beeline for it if the door has been left open. He has started arching his back and throwing his head back when we take him away from something he is doing. He finally has gotten some teeth his two bottom ones and 1 top tooth. The second top tooth is trying to make it's appearance as well. He is also pulling up to the furniture, walls etc and now is walking around things. He has taken a step or two on his own already. I just want him to take his time :).

His stats are 30 1/4 inches long, 24 lbs 14 ounces....and his head is 47.5 cm. He is in the 90% percentile for his head and weight and the 75th for length.

He is so much fun, he loves his Aunt Lori, and Grandma, loves all the attention he gets from his cousins and still loves his big brother Tanner. We love our little Cameron Thaynie!

The Big 3

Paige turned 3 and had a super fun birthday. (We actually celebrated it a day early due to the fact we were moving on her actual birthday)

She is such a sweetheart and loves to help me around the house. She loves to help clean and vacuum. She loves her grandma and loves being with her. Many times when she is in trouble she will say I want grandma! She loves being a girlie girl, loves having makeup on and many times I have found her helping herself to my makeup. I love her hair, such a pretty color and has just the right amount of wave/curl. I love watching her run as she will move her head from side to side to feel her hair swish across her back. She loves her dolls, and likes to dress up. She knows how to spell her name, and can count to about 20. She is very independent and likes to do things her way. She is known to have an occasional meltdown but overall is a very sweet girl.
Her 3 year stats are: 32 lbs, and 36 1/2 inches tall.

We had her party at the park and had some yummy pasta, rolls, and fruit. We then had pink cupcakes with ice cream for dessert. She had a great time with her great grandma's and her cousins.

What else can I say about sweet Paige she is a joy to have in our house and I love her!! Happy 3rd Birthday Paige!

Camping

We took our first camping trip as a family the 21st of July. Mike led us to a place by Thistle and it was perfect. There was a little creek and it was full of trees and just the right spot to spend the night with our family. Luckily we didn't have to share they camp with these guys.... Silly Jason thought the cows were going to charge us....they aren't moose you know! Gotta love you for being so protective...but I thought you were from Vacaville? Don't you know that cows won't hurt you?!

The kids loved playing at this little creek. Brevin and Tanner were searching for fish and loved every minute of it.
I think Kylie got wet.....not so sure how she feels about it.

Cute Cameron

Trying to start the fire
So glad Kenzie and Brevin came with us!

We only had a couple of hiccups....one was that the tent won't work if you don't have the poles! Luckily we had enough tent room, thanks to Amy and Mike! The second thing was we did all this work and packing and only stayed 1 night. But it was worth it the kids had a blast, and it was so relaxing for us too!
Thanks Mike for all your work on the "latrine"!

Cute girls...till next time!
