Under the Weather

We have all been a little under the weather here at our house. It started early Saturday morning with Tanner getting sick at the Father and Sons camp out. Jason, my dad and Tanner made a speedy exit and came home and we spent the rest of the night with him. Saturday Paige and Cameron...as well as my SIL April got sick. Well we thought since no one else got anything the rest of Saturday or Sunday we were maybe out of the woods. Nope Jason started feeling sick Monday morning before he left for his trip...and late last night it finally caught up with me. Moms should not get sick especially with my husband out of town. Thank heavens for my mom who took the younger two and the wii as it is keeping the older two entertained.

Kylie made herself a snack after school and graciously made one for me. Not the best picture but it's licorice covered with Oreo frosting on a club cracker. Not the most appetizing for a mom with a sick stomach. What a sweet girl for thinking of me though. Hopefully we will all be getting back to normal around here...we've had enough sickies around here for a while!

1st Birthday

We are so very grateful to have this little boy in our family. It's hard to believe that it has been a year already...I know I have probably said that many times before but it has gone by so quickly. I couldn't have asked for a better little boy. I was so worried when he was born because I knew Jason would be traveling a lot and I didn't know how I would be able to manage a newborn and my 3 other kids. I couldn't have been more blessed, such a mellow, happy boy. He really has been an easy baby and for that I am so grateful

He started taking steps about a month ago, but really walking a couple weeks ago. He has the cutest little waddle and has decided that crawling isn't for him anymore. He would much rather walk than crawl. He makes this funny face when he is happy...and still loves his tiger. He is starting to say words like, ball, baby, baba, of course mama and dada, bye bye, and a few other things. He also has started throwing himself on the floor when he is upset or gets his feelings hurt. And he definitely will let us know when his brother and sisters are bugging him. It happens quite often, but he really loves them as well. He loves being outside, and going bye bye. He started loving Little Einstein's Farm video, loves to sing Popcorn popping and will say pop pop pop, while we are singing. Happy Birthday Cameron!

The view from my front porch

Fall is officially my favorite times of the year. I am really enjoying this year the leaves changing colors, they are so bright and I can't wait to take a drive up the canyon! And I still can't get over the mountains I love having them so close!

spiders

In Arizona we had snakes, quite a few scorpions, bats, lizards...but now I am realizing that here in Utah we are going to have to get used to spiders. Jason was cleaning out the window wells and look what he found!

Guess we will just deal with these guys now, and no playing in the window wells!

Kylie's first day of Kindergarten

She has been so excited to start school. We had to wait a whole extra week for her to start though and she was pretty disappointed. We were able to meet her teacher Mrs. Terry last Friday. We both accidentally slept through our scheduled time, but luckily got to meet her just a little later. She seems like a great teacher and I am excited for Kylie to have a great year! Now I just have to get used to the half day kindergarten schedule. I asked her if she wanted to just stay home with me but she quickly made it known that she did not want to stay home and that school was the place for her to be.

She didn't want me to take anymore pictures! She looks really cute though.

I am sure this cute girl is going to give her teacher a run for her money. But I sure will miss her smile, and laugh when she is at school!

bed bugs

Woke up one morning and had 3 extra visitors. Sure makes for an uncomfortable night!

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom is such an example of service. She is always doing something for someone else. Love her and I'm so glad that she is my mom! This birthday was a little more fun for me because I was here to help her celebrate. We went to Molly's and had a great lunch, and a lot of fun visiting and helping my mom celebrate her birthday!

Happy Birthday Mom....we love you!! (Kim we missed you!)

Ginger comes to visit

Ginger came to visit and we had a great weekend. It was full of yummy food, good conversation, good times miniature golfing and lots of laughing.

Of course the chickens were a huge hit!

Ginger came to visit and we had a great weekend. It was full of yummy food, good conversation, good times miniature golfing and lots of laughing.

My favorite day was Sunday we were able to have lots of good family time in the backyard with lots of cousins. Lots of fun baseball, some volleyball, yummy smores, and super yummy
strawberry tarts. Thanks for coming to visit Ginger!

An afternoon at our house

Begins with a little water and dirt...

makes for lots of smiles. And yes my kids are wearing jackets we were cold! We have thin Arizona blood right now :-)

Cougar Kickoff

We took the kids to the Cougar Kickoff. The kids had a great time getting autographs from the woman's soccer team, and the football team, trying on the football helmets. But they also enjoyed dancing and running in the races, and throwing the football. Go Cougars!
