Loon Lake

This was our year for the Headrick Family Reunion, and we headed up to Oregon to Loon Lake. It was so gorgeous and we had a great time. Each family had their own cabin but all were right next to each other. The lake was right across the street, and we spent everyday all day at the lake. The kids had so much fun with their cousins, and Tanner and Kylie even loved going on the boat and tubing. We went on 4 wheeler rides, played fun games, had a birthday cake for Paige, made smores, played lots of horseshoes, and just enjoyed time with cousins and grandparents.
We enjoyed our week of vacation and were very sad to have to leave. We can't wait for the next one!

Happy Birthday Paige

Paige turned 4 this year and wanted to get her ears pierced. We went the Friday before her birthday and she got to pick out her earrings and was so brave. I really didn't think she would go through with it, but she did and didn't even cry. She loves her new earrings and can't wait to change them out.
On her actual birthday we started driving to Oregon for the Headrick Family Reunion. We tried to make the day as special as possible. She got to choose donuts for breakfast and we had all types of juice and fruit. We left after lunch and grandma brought her gifts. She loved the pillowcase, and dress, and books.
Right after lunch we drove to Boise and when we got to our hotel Paige got to choose where to eat for dinner. She decided that she wanted to go to McDonald's. She loved it and was very happy about her kids meal.
When we got back to the hotel we took the kids swimming they loved it. It took a while for Paige to warm up to the idea but once her dad helped out a little she had a blast.
We were able to have cake with the whole Headrick clan on our vacation. I had a hard time finding a cake, but it turned out alright. I hope she had a great 4Th birthday!
We love our Paige and she is the best helper to me. She is so excited to go to preschool, and loves to play with her princesses, and with purses, and loves to make believe. She loves her long hair and doesn't want it cut, or put up. She loves wearing dresses and leggings and is a sweet fun girl!

4th of July

Love the 4th of July. We had a great time, and Jason even had lots of fun buying fireworks, I am sure this will be a new tradition.
We started the weekend off by going to see the hot air balloons Saturday morning. The kids and I woke up at the crack of dawn and headed to Provo. We met cousins and grandma and loved seeing all the cool balloons.
Saturday night we celebrated Kylie's birthday while watching the Stadium of Fire fireworks from Fox Field. We had fun relaxing and letting the kids just run around and spend time with their cousins.
Monday we headed to Provo for the parade and annual Startup BBQ. The kids loved the parade and seeing all the floats, bands, and all the fun things a parade offers. After the parade was over we went to get the car so we could help transport food when Lori and Ryan's car had a bit of a flat tire. Jason was excited it gave him something to do. While the boys tried to take care of that (spare wouldn't fit) I helped kids fill water balloons. And then we were off to the BBQ, where we always have lots of yummy food and get to visit with cousins and let the kids play fun games.
It was a great day and was ended by fireworks at our house.

Happy Birthday Kylie

Kylie turned 6 this year. She is my little helper, and will do a great job of being a mom someday. She likes to take charge of her siblings, help with dinner, and wants to be involved with anything I do. She loves LOVES being in the water and is fearless jumping off the diving board, doing flips off the side of the pool, and would be in the water all day long if we would let her. She knows what she wants and will try to make it happen. She has an infectious smile and laugh, and I love the twinkle in her eye.
We already don't see things eye to eye, and have many battles when it comes to clothes. She definitely has her own style and likes to dress herself, and do her own hair. I love her spunkiness (probably not a word), and I am so glad that she is a part of our family.
We got to celebrate a couple of times this year. On her actual birthday we met our friends the Nielsen's from Arizona and went to Los Hermanoes for lunch. We had a great time catching up and visiting...and then dad met us and we headed up to Seven Peaks for a day of fun at the water park.
The next day we had cake and ice cream while watching the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire with cousins and aunts and uncles. Very fun but warm and the cake and ice cream didn't last very long!
Sunday we had Kylie's favorite meal of chicken rolls, mashed potatoes, salad, jello, and brownies with chocolate frosting. Lori, Ryan, Grandma and Grandpa Wilson, and Matthew and April were able to celebrate with us that day. What a lucky girl to have a 3 day birthday celebration.
We sure love our Kylie Jo and we are anxiously looking forward to see what the next year brings!

All Around the World

I am so far behind...but right after school let out for the summer the girls had their dance recital All around the World. We loved the dance studio, teachers and performances and the girls really improved a lot over the course of the year. Once again each was able to dance in two dances and Paige really did well this time, she always amazes me, being my shy girl. She didn't even hesitate going up there on stage to perform. Both girls waited a little too long and on stage you could tell they needed to use the restroom. But other than that they did amazing! I love watching them!
It was fun to have so much family watch them as well. We love having the support of our aunts, uncles, cousins and grandmas and grandpas! Love you all!
