Student of the Month

This was such a surprise for us. Not that he isn't a great kid, but just has had a tough time with a few things in class, but we were thrilled and so proud that Tanner was chosen for student of the month in March. Today he was honored at an assembly I was so sad that I couldn't be there we still have a couple of sickies.
We love you Tanner!

Sisters

I found the girls upstairs dressed alike and pretending to be ballerina's. I love it when they play so well together. I also love seeing Kylie like to dance we have been fighting about going to class every Monday but once she gets there she usually likes class, and she likes the idea of her recital and getting to be on stage and wear makeup. Of course I had to throw in a picture of this cute little guy why not!

Our House

This is how we've spent the last week here at our house.

We've taken quite a few naps, played some games, got a craft done, watched a lot of movies, made a couple trips to the doctors office,

and there has been a bit of crying. We hope we all get feeling better soon!

Kylie

Kylie has the greatest imagination (nice way of saying it). I always wonder what she tells people and what stories she comes up with.

She is quite funny and you never know what she is going to say. Her great preschool teacher fills me in on things she says at school. Monday she snuck a pair of finger nail clippers and proceeded to take her shoes off and was clipping her toenails. When her preschool teacher asked her what she was doing she told her that her mom had said that she was supposed to cut her toenails at school. A few weeks ago she again snuck some papers that she had written a talk on and told her teacher that I said she needed to give a talk at school. So before she reminded her teacher that she hadn't given her talk, and she then proceeded in front of her class to read her talk. I wish I could have been there to hear what she said. I guess I need to do a better job of searching her backpack before she goes to school, but we are always running behind so I tend to forget.

Her primary teacher name is Sister Rouse, and one day I caught her calling her sister Rooster. I tried to correct her and help her call her the correct name and she told me that no her name was Sister Rooster and that her teacher told her it was Rooster. Each and every Sunday I get some story of something she said or did...like she told her teacher that we were eating lizards for dinner. And there was the time that she hid in the bathroom and the only way she found her was to look under the stalls and she saw her feet.

It's a good thing I love my cute Kylie cause I think I am in BIG TROUBLE!

Easter

We had a very nice relaxing Easter. We stayed home and enjoyed conference and being together for the weekend. Saturday we went to Tanner's soccer game where he scored 4 goals super fun to watch, and then we got home and were able to listen to conference in the afternoon. We then dyed our Easter eggs....and I didn't boil as many eggs as I should have the kids had so much fun this year!
Sunday was fun we got up and saw what the Easter Bunny left us, went on an Easter egg hunt, then had cinnamon rolls for breakfast. We tried to have the kids watch conference...next time I need to make them a conference packet it would make listening a lot easier.

In between Jason gave the boys a haircut.....whoops Cameron's got cut a little shorter than we had anticipated at least it will all grow back evenly. And we went outside to try out Tanner's new kite. It was a perfect day to fly a kite and he did great until he purposely let the string go and the kite got stuck in the tree. Wish I would have had the camera Jason had to get the ladder to get it down. Wish I would have had my camera! We enjoyed the last session and then went on a family bike ride, and came home and had a non traditional Easter dinner.

The boys and their new haircuts (my sisters call Cameron little "budda" kind of looks it huh?!)got to love summer haircuts!

Silly Tanner

Tanner was looking for his soccer shirt Saturday and I told him that it was clean and in the dryer. Off he went, so I go check on him to see if he could find it and found him here.

Don't worry we had a big talk about the danger of getting in the dryer and I know he won't get in it again.

8 years

Wow time sure does fly, just seems like yesterday that I quit school and moved to Cali to see if this relationship was going to work and we just celebrated our 8 year anniversary. We didn't exchange any gifts this year but Jason was sweet and brought me some flowers. We went to The Melting Pot for dinner. It was a splurge but something we must do every year it was it was SO good. I can't believe how nice it was to sit for 2 hours at dinner and just relax and enjoy Jason's company.

There are many things I love about Jason but in honor of 8 years here are 8

1. Amazing father always playing and loving our kids. Our kids adore him and love spending time with their dad. I love watching him wrestle, teach, play, and love our kids.

2. Pushes me to be better always, even when I don't think I can't do it.

3. Encourages me to learn new things, even though at times I resist I love that he always wants me to be better
4. He is a hard worker...things I would hire out to do and spend lots of money he takes them on does a great job. I love watching his sense of his accomplishment when he finishes a big project....like when he landscaped our yard.

5. He provides for our family and we have never been without.

6. Even though J is a hard worker he also knows how to play hard. He loves to camp, go to the beach, snorkel, dive, mountain bike, anything fun J is in the middle of it. He really is a big kid.
7. Loves to learn and encourages me to learn more and especially finish my education. If there is something that he doesn't know he will research and study it until he is comfortable with the subject.

8. Really just being my best friend. I couldn't imagine any day without him, and love that he puts up with my craziness.
Love you tons can't wait to see what the next year brings!
