Baseball

We had a fun season of baseball for Tanner.   This year he played on the Diamondbacks, and it was his first year of kid pitch.  He had a hard time adjusting to the hitting but was just getting the swing of things at the end of the season.  The team had a slow start but really turned it on in the tournament.  They made it to the championship game and it was such a good game.  Tanner had some amazing catches that kept them from scoring.  We had our ups and downs this season.  He had a fan club the last game, it was fun having family support him.  We loved watching him play, the kids liked the snack shack the best, but it was fun to watch the season progress.  We had some disagreements with the way the team was coached and probably went about it the wrong way but had so much fun watching Tanner progress.  We have a long way to go but I love baseball and love watching it.  Hope he continues to play in the years to come.

Fathers Day

We had a great day celebrating our dad!  We sure love him he works so hard for our family, and loved that we got him to be around the whole week after the big day.

We started the day with omelets, sausage and lots of fruit.   He opened his gifts and got a sweet SF Giants hat, and a new camping chair with a shade so his head doesn't burn.  Then we headed to church and unfortunately the kids didn't want to make the day special and we were quite the circus in Sacrament meeting as usual.  Then we headed home and Jason got a nice nap.  I actually had to wake him up so we could head to dinner with my family.  We went to Andrea's and enjoyed a super yummy meal of steak, salmon, mahi mahi, green salad with Amy's homemade blue cheese dressing, potatoes, watermelon, and corn on the cob.  It was so good and I am so glad that I didn't have to cook a whole dinner myself.  We had so many choices for dessert too, strawberry shortcake, lemon torte, and skor cake.

I am so grateful to be surrounded by such great fathers.  I had the best most patient loving dad growing up.  He was and still is so supportive, and always is there when I need him.  Always has the best advice still have the letters he wrote to me growing up.  He can always make me feel better when I need it.  Love you dad glad we could spend the evening with you.

Jason is such a hard working, amazing, and great dad.  He teaches by example and makes time to spend with our kids.   Always finds ways to emphasize a gospel topic and makes it so interesting and gets the kids involved.  He is the fun dad and really is just a big kid.  We love it when dad is home, and we all smother him when he is around.  Love you babe!

Just a couple pictures of these cute kiddos!  We really had a good night.  We missed our family that couldn't be there but look forward to getting together soon.

Softball

Kylie decided that she wanted to play softball this spring.  She loved it and had a great experience.  She loved to hit the ball and she hit well the entire season.  She caught on pretty quickly and had fun.  It was hot and sometimes taking all the kids to the games myself was stressful and I didn't get to watch as much as the games as I would have liked to, but I wouldn't have changed a minute of it.  Love these kids and so proud of all they accomplish and do!
