Easter

Easter was fun this year. We had a few firsts, and I was a real slacker and didn't do a very good job with pictures on Easter, I didn't even get any pictures of my kids with their church duds on. (I will blame it on being Fast Sunday and getting interrupted by fast offerings)
We had a great time dying Easter eggs. They really love it and I always think I do enough eggs but the kids always want more.

Cameron wasn't feeling well, he had a slight fever and sat on the couch watching Tangled while we colored eggs.

Sunday we got up, and the kids got their baskets. The girls got some bubbles and sidewalk chalk along with a Dora coloring book, and Kylie got a new reading book. Tanner was lucky enough to get sun glasses, and a Frisbee, and Cameron got some golf clubs. And of course they got plenty of sweet treats which they managed to quite a bit of before breakfast and church!

After church we headed to my mom and dads for our Easter dinner. This was the first time we have spent Easter with my family, Jason's first. We got spoiled as usual. My mom had an egg hunt for all the grand kids. They each got 16 eggs and they were hidden all over the backyard. Each child had their own color and they only look for their color. It worked really well and each child had the same number of eggs. Mom had some really cute prizes, their own box of sugar cereal, money, candy, a date with grandma and grandpa just to name a few.

Our Easter bunny cake.

Eva and Mia, and Kylie

Between soccer games we went to the Easter Egg hunt put on by the city. There were so many kids there it's amazing that my kids even got one egg. But they really had fun even if it just lasted for a couple minutes.

Spring Break

We had a good spring break. It seemed like we were going the whole time. I wanted to help the kids have a good week since we didn't go any where this year. We had family come from California, and so we had a lot of cousin play time. The kids loved it! One night Celeste did an Easter egg hunt in their backyard everyone loved it but Paige. For some reason she just hung on my leg and wouldn't even go look for eggs.

Cameron just loved watching his uncles hit golf balls.

The first day of Spring Break we headed up to Salt Lake to spend some time with Lori. We hit Trolley Square, and then went to lunch at Hires. The kids loved the cheeseburgers. After we went to This is the Place, and walked around looking at the monuments. Tanner was loving reading all about the statues. I haven't been there in years so it was fun to go look around.

Afterwards we hit a park and let the kids just play for a bit. Tanner was happy because there was a baseball field and he had his baseball bat and ball in the car for his practice later so he went and ran the bases and practiced hitting the ball. He was in heaven.

One night grandma Wilson had a sleepover with all the cousins and they had so much fun. Games were played, movies watched....and maybe a little sleep. The next day we went and saw the movie Hop. The kids liked it and really did well at the theatre. Cameron surprised me and slept the first bit, and I might have taken a little nap too :) And he enjoyed watching the movie and eating candy.

Friday we got to go to Julie's for a pizza party, but before going we hit Trafalga and played a round of mini golf. Those passes have already been worth all the money we paid for them. Cameron loves playing golf...he does pretty good hitting the ball, I think he even got a hole in one! I didn't do a very good job taking pictures the end of the week. We were excited Friday too because Jason got home, it was a great ending on a fun week. At Julies we got to eat pizza visit with cousins and had a really good time.

Then on Saturday we headed to Hunter's baseball game and had a picnic. We had a great time just running around with cousins, and watching Hunter's game. We ended up with 3 extra boys coming home with us for the night. Brevin, Carter, and Parker came and spent the night. They were great and we even got them to go to bed. It was fun at church because we got so many looks with all the handsome boys sitting on our bench. I even got asked if they were all mine! Funny I guess people really don't know us very well yet.

We had a great week full of family and fun the only thing missing was the sun and warmth! Maybe next year we will have to make a trip so AZ for the week to get some much needed sun :)

The ABC's of America

Tanner had his 1st grade program the 31st of March. It was really cute and grandma even got to come. Tanner has been singing these songs at home and knew just about every word of every song. He loves to sing and really wanted a special singing part. He didn't get the part but sang very well.

Toothfairy please?

Tanner lost his first tooth. He has been wiggling it and dad decided that it was time for it to come out. We saw that his other tooth was coming up behind and wanted it out. He was a little nervous but did great and is now patiently waiting for a visit from the tooth fairy!
