Goodbye Arizona

I have had mixed emotions as I have packed up our house. We have had a wonderful 5 years living in Arizona. We have met such great friends. There have been so many kind deeds and I have learned so much by many of their examples. I truly will never ever measure up to the things they have done for me. 3 out of the 4 kids have been born there, we purchased our first house and learned so many great lessons. The list could go on and on. I think I can honestly say that I have a love hate relationship with Arizona. A couple of the things I will NOT miss is the LONG HOT summers, and of course the scorpions. I won't miss finding them on the floors or on the walls, or have to worry about one of the kids stepping on them.
Goodbye Arizona and hello to new adventures and making new friends. But please let us find a house soon!!

Kylie's early celebration

We decided that before we moved we would let Kylie have a birthday party. It was time and I had a friend graciously offer to let us have the party at her house. We took her up on the offer and had a fun get together for Kylie and her friends. We have some really great ones here and she will definitely miss them.

What a fun day! Look at those cute friends....we sure will miss them!

Paige

So yesterday we we told the kids that after dinner we would go swimming. We ate dinner and then told the kids to go get ready. Paige has decided that this year she doesn't like swimming or getting in the water and being the strong willed child that she is said she wasn't going. She refused to get her swim suit on and put it somewhere so we couldn't find it. We tried talking, bribing, nothing was working. Jason then told her if she didn't get her suit on she was going to stay home while the rest of us went. So she didn't get dressed and the family proceeded to get in the van. She stood at the door crying and waving to us. We needed to prove a point so we shut the garage and waited a few minutes (like we would really leave our 2 year old home alone!) and Jason snuck back inside. There she was on the couch sitting not even crying. He talked to her again and she still did not want her swimming suit on. She wanted to come and got in the car with her jammies on.

We got to the pool and she immediately started whining and said she wanted her swimming suit on, which we explained that she had her chance and she chose not to. Everyone was swimming and of course Paige got closer and closer to the water, and she ended up getting all wet and swimming with her pajamas on. What a Stinker....but a cute one!!
