Chloe is 1

My sweet little girl turned 1.

We didn't do a big party for her (I guess that's what happens when you are #5!)  I can't believe that it has been a year already.  She is so independent, she loves to eat by herself and won't eat if we try to feed her.  She has started walking, she likes to sleep in her bed, not so much anywhere else.  She is a big daddy's girl, she wants her dad always.  If she finds the door open to his "office" which is our closet she is beelining it for him and wants to sit on his lap.  She just recently started saying mama.  Everything is Dada.  Loves bath time, and tries to get into the bath if anyone else is having one.  She succeeded once and got in with her clothes and diaper on.  Loves to play in the toilets...yuck!

Her stats:

Weight:  22 lbs 3 oz 62%
Height:  31.5   96%
Head circumference 47 cm 90%

We spent the afternoon shopping for some new shoes for this baby she has the skinniest, longest feet.  Everything falls off her foot.  We had a fun time though and went to City Creek with Lori and got a little present from Nordstrom.  She loves her new shoes and they actually stay on her feet.  We celebrated with dinner and some yummy cupcakes!

Happy Birthday Coco!

Halloween

We had a pretty low key Halloween.  The kids had their Halloween parade in the morning.  It was fun to watch walk with their classmates.  We went home and Lori and MacKay came over and took the kids to my moms so I could help with Paige's class party.   I loved being able to help with Paige's class I don't get to do it very often so it was lots of fun.
Kylie wanted to be Taylor Swift..it was a last minute decision and I think her costume turned out pretty cute.
This is the only picture I got of my gold power ranger.  He gets embarrassed easily!
Cameron was Lightning McQueen
I am a lion!

Afterward the kids got out of school we went and visited Grandma Startup.  I didn't get a picture :( I obviously wasn't thinking. She was so excited to have us come visit we had a hard time leaving...we stayed so much longer than I had anticipated.  We went to pick up the two little kids and ran home.  The trick or treaters were already out and about.  I didn't even have time to make our traditional mummy dogs...I made up for it and made them after we went out.

They had fun but Tanner, Cameron, and Chloe were done so I brought them home and Jason took the 2 girls around a little more for some more candy.  They had a good night!

Fun

One night instead of going to bed we decided we would play with the camera.  We had fun I sure love these kiddos!

Happy Birthday to me!

I had a birthday, I wish they wouldn't come around as often.  I feel like I'm still 25 but realize that is no longer the case.  But it is fun for the kids to fix me breakfast, have them be good for 15 minutes, and go on a date with my hubby.

I woke up to flowers and breakfast and a cute banner that Kylie made for me.  Then we ran errands and got kids hair cut, and made a trip to Costco.

I chose to go to the temple and we were lucky enough to have my mom and dad join us.  It was a much needed break from life.  Then we headed to Brick Oven for some yummy dinner and adult time.  We missed Kim and Trent and Amy and Mike, but maybe next year :)

Here is to another year!

11 months

Our cute little miss is 11 months old.  She is into everything, especially loving to get in my purse and pull out all my credit cards.  Climbing the stairs like a champ, and has started climbing onto everything she can like the mantel.  She is a big time daddy's girl and will go to him any chance she can get.  She hates wearing headbands, getting dressed, diaper changes, and being fed.  She loves her bottle, binkie and pink bear.  She has cut 4 teeth started the day she turned 11 months and now has 6 teeth.  She is starting to take steps especially if it is toward her daddy.

We sure love this girl!

Happy Birthday Cameron!

Our little Z Cameron is 3.   I think he had a pretty good day, he got balloons, a nap, new beyblades, and superhero capes.  Grandma and Grandpa W gave him a cool dump truck, and Grandma and Grandpa H gave him money.  It was a fun day!

Paige's first day of school

I know I am really behind but a week after the kids started school Paige started Kindergarten.  She was so excited and ready to start until she got there :(  So hard for a mom to leave their crying child at school.  She was hanging on to my leg and I was trying to reassure her she would be fine while wrestling with Chloe and Cameron.  Jason just had to be out of town.....I love her teacher she just scooped her up and said bye mom.  Of course by the time I got to the car I was in tears, and then anxious the whole time till it was time to pick up all the kids.  She ended up having a great time and came out with a huge smile on her face.  I am so grateful for such great kindergarten teachers that so lovingly take care of shy/scared kids.  She loves school and hasn't had a problem really since then.

Surprise!

My mom turned 60 this year, (on September 1st) so we (Andrea, Amy, Kim, Lori and I) decided that we wanted to throw her a surprise party.  My mom is one of the most selfless people I know.  She does so much for everyone else and we decided that she deserved to be completely spoiled for one night by family and friends.  (Sorry if we missed anyone we tried to invite everyone)  Luckily my dad was able to get mom out of the house and we were able to go on without any hitch.  We sure missed Amy and Mike but were glad that baby came and everything was alright.

Lori, and Kim were the master party planners.  We had 3 kinds of yummy soups, salads, and for dessert we made applesauce cake.  We like usual had way to much food, but having too much is better than not enough right?  I helped with the cake making, and spray painting of the centerpieces that were pictures of mom.  But the youngest did most of the work.   The weather decided not to cooperate and so the plan of having it in my parents backyard didn't work, but I think the church worked out just fine.

Mom was surprised and hit my dad with her purse, and true mom fashion she started crying.  She is so loved and appreciated.  She is the best mom  ever, she makes beautiful quilts and pillowcases, and gives them away.  We love you mom!  We can't say thank you enough you are the best!
