Pumpkin Patch

Tanner had his first field trip to the pumpkin patch. He remembered when we went a couple of years ago with some friends. I was amazed because he remembered some details about it that I had even forgot.
He was up early this morning because he was super excited for the field trip and to ride the school bus for the first time. He got his orange T-shirt on, his lunch, and water bottle and was ready to go.

The kids were supposed to be back at 1:45 and I thought I was supposed to get him early from school. I was there and signed Tanner out. Well he was not happy about being signed out early, and when we got to the car he started crying. When I tried asking him about the field trip he wouldn't give me any info. What a great way to start the afternoon. And I thought about all the times I ruined my moms morning or afternoon by my attitude and I guess what goes around really comes around! I am getting some payback. Eventually he came out of his funk and talked about how fun he had. I am glad that he had such a great time.

Here are just some random shots of the kids from this last week.

Cameron's announcement

My cute friend Becky made this announcement for Cameron's birth. (Hope all the other kids won't be mad because they never got an announcement) So grateful for talented friends!

1 month

I can't believe that my baby is already 1 month old. We went in for his 1 month checkup and I just had to laugh. I sure do have healthy babies! He now weighs a healthy 11 lbs 6 ounces and is 22 1/4 inches long.

He is such a good baby and is becoming more alert and loves to watch his brother and sisters. He gave me a great birthday present by smiling at me more than 1 time. I believe that was his first smiles, Jason would say otherwise. He is sleeping ok, but I can't wait till I can get 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep. His skin is still peeling, and he has some baby acne, plus his hair is beginning to come out but we don't think he could any more handsome!

My good friend Becky took a few pictures of Cameron just before he was 2 weeks old. So fun to have some great pictures!

Girls

Sometimes I wonder how, and why I was allowed to be the mom of girls. My parents just laugh and say that all the grief I gave them is going to catch me now. I like to think that I was a perfect angel and never did anything wrong....but we all know that I wasn't and I am not perfect. Now I get to fight the stuborness (Jason insists that trait is from me, and I of course blame him) of a 4 and 2 year old about what clothes to wear, how to do hair, and anything else you can think of. I am doomed for sure, guess I should really just relax and not worry so much about those silly things.

But then we have other moments when we color, dance (they don't laugh when I dance!), and play that I remember why it is fun to have little girls. We love to dress up, Kylie can sure give a great compliment to make mom feel good, and we love to be girly. I have such great helpers with Cameron, and they love to help me fix meals, and any other treat, and decorate for holidays. Although sometimes it is hard to have girls I wouldn't want to have it any other way! I love my Kylie and Paige, just heaven help me when they are 12!

Cameron at 2 weeks

Cameron is such a good baby. He loves to be held when he sleeps which I love too. He is pretty consistent waking up every 3 hours and wants to eat. Which he is very good at, and we can tell as he is starting to fill out. I love his double chin!! He also lost his umbilical cord stump. It was the earliest that any of our kids have lost it. Time for the first real bath...yay!
We have loved having both grandma's and one grandpa out to visit with us and help us as we tried to adjust to this new one. It was so nice having meals made for us, cleaned up after, and kids played with, and shuttled around to school and dance, having help cleaning and with laundry, and being able to nap....heavenly!

Jason's mom left Thursday the 24th and my mom came within the hour. It was nice to not have a break since Jason was out of town in Idaho. Then we were lucky enough to have my dad come out on Saturday and it worked out well because Jason was able to get a flight within 10 minutes or so of my dad landing so one less trip to the airport for me. We had a good time visiting and talking, and just relaxing. We even got my dad to play Scrabble which he won of course. I loved all of our visitors just wish we had more of them!
