Fire Station

I love going on field trips with my Kylie especially when Paige and Cameron can come too.

We had so much fun exploring the fire trucks.

Listening to how dangerous matches and lighters are and how normal firefighters are. Did you know that they aren't scary even in all their gear?

Love watching my Kylie learn and interact with her friends. It was a super fun day!

6 months

We had our 6 month checkup and we have a very healthy baby. Cameron is such a good boy and is growing so quickly. He is finally sleeping better and now only wakes up 1 time a night around 3:00, and then wakes up for the day usually around 6:00. He loves solids and is now eating twice a day. He is sitting like a champ, and doesn't like to be laying on the floor on his back since he isn't rolling from his back to tummy yet. He also has started to be a mommas boy. He knows who I am and doesn't normally like to be held by anyone else when mom or dad are around.

His 6 month stats are 21.7 lbs, 28 inches long. He and Tanner's size are about the same at this age. Cameron is a pound heavier but otherwise pretty comparable.

Such a Big Girl

I have been dreading potty training for some time. I kept putting it off and finding some excuse to put it off. I finally decided that it was time to bite the bullet and get Paige out of diapers. I prepared her and gave her a couple days warning and told her that Monday morning we were going to start going potty in the toilet. We got a new book about princesses and their pink toilets, and she picked out a toy (Princess Tiana) to put on the fridge and when she was successful got her new toy. I waited until I had Tanner and Kylie at school and we started. She had one accident and did fabulous after that. I would say day 1 was a success, and to top it all off she stayed dry all night. Day 2 was a little more turbulent, we had a few accidents and had to wash a all the towels and sanitize the bathroom. But overall did very well. Day 3 was excellent got everything in the toilet, she earned her princess back and is such a big girl now!
I love my Paige and am so proud of my big girl!

Spring Break Fun

My spring break plans didn't pan out like I had hoped they would.....(we won't name who thwarted them) so to make up for them somewhat he took us to a baseball game today. It was a beautiful day, almost too warm in the sun, (now feeling and seeing the effects of that, luckily I think I am the only one to get burned seeing how I managed to forget sunscreen) the kids had fun eating lots of Twinkies, fruit roll ups, and drinking all of the $5.75 lemonade and Capri suns. It was fun though, Tanner had a good time watching the game as did Jason and I loved it the few plays that I was able to watch. Maybe next time just Jason, Tanner and I will have to go!

Tanner's last baseball game

Tanner was able to play coach pitch baseball the last couple of months. It was much more fun than playing t-ball he really enjoyed it and loved being able to play with a few friends from past seasons. The girls enjoyed watching the games too, especially when one of Tanner's teammates brought their dog. It was a good season and believe it or not we almost were rained out twice, I'm just glad that Tanner had a great time and learned a few things along the way.

Krispy Kreme

Kylie's preschool class went to Krispy Kreme on a field trip. I was looking forward to getting a behind the scene look at how they made those tasty doughnuts but this little stinker was a little too nervous.......
so we just sat and waited and hoped Kylie was well behaved. We then got to taste some of those yummy doughnuts!

Super fun and super yummy!

Girls Day

After the week of birthday celebration I needed some me time. I was so glad that some of my friends put together a girls day. It was a much needed break since Jason has been traveling so much. I got up and helped get the kids to Tanner's baseball game and then got myself ready. Of course it started to rain as soon as I waited for my friend to pick me up. Oh well can't be too mad about it! We had a good day of shopping, stopped at Last Chance, then headed to Mesa and walked through some fun boutiques, and had lunch. We then headed over to some furniture stores I have been wanting to look at but can't ever get Jason to go. If I only had a house that I knew we would be in for a while but it was so fun to look and to dream. We then went to another home decor store and were there for a long time. Half of us took off and we met up at DownEast in the Chandler mall. I bought a few things there, and then we headed off to a jean party. I was so tired at this point I just sat and watched all my cute friends find jeans, and headbands. It was fun but I was wasted. I had really wanted to catch H&M but maybe next time, we just ran out of time. We then headed to Cafe Rio for some yummy dinner and some talking. It was a great day and I loved spending it with my friends! Thanks Jason for holding the fort down while I was gone!!

Mario Kart Kraziness

So for months Tanner has asked for a Mario Kart birthday party. He has been planning and planning and the day finally arrived. I made some invitations and we invited all the friends he could think of I figured not all the kids would show up, and since we only do friend parties every other year. (next birthday party we will cut back some I think) We had only 3 kids not come so we had 15 6 year olds running around our house. But we had a great time and survived thanks to all the help. I had all sorts of ideas but my procrastinating side of me got the best of me and I thought I had more time than I actually did so we went with simplified versions of my grand plans.
When the kids first came we made a headband with a picture of a character from Mario Kart and let them decorate it and put their names on. Then we played some games, and I think the kids had a good time. The 3 girls that Tanner invited were cheer leading they didn't want to participate. I was so proud of Kylie she was in there racing with all the boys and had so much fun.

We then ate pizza, had Mario cake, and then opened presents. I was writing down who gave him what and I have never been so claustrophobic in my life. The kids were so excited with what he was opening that they got closer and closer.

After cake and ice cream the kids just played until it was time to go home. Tanner loved every minute of his party. I am so glad that Jason was home and was able to play the games with the kids he did a great job. After the madness was over we sat and played with Tanner's new toys and relaxed.
