Lori in Flagstaff

I am backtracking a little I got behind and am trying to get caught up.
Lori my youngest sister plays volleyball for USU. And she called me months ago saying that she had 2 tournaments in Arizona. I was ecstatic! One was in Flagstaff at NAU, and then the second one was at ASU. It was perfect, I could see her play and she could see us. Well the tournament at ASU was cancelled but we still were able to see her play at NAU and it was her birthday weekend! It was perfect. We needed a little break from the heat and all the moving and some good family time since Jason had been traveling so much.

It was heavenly the weather was perfect, we headed up to Flagstaff and found overcast skies and nice cool weather in the 70's. We got there found where we needed to go and then grabbed some lunch and headed to the game. We got to watch Lori play and USU won the game. Unfortunately we didn't get to hang out with her between the games so we went to look at some old cars on route 66. Tanner was in heaven looking at all the old mustangs, and other cars. We walked around for awhile and then we decided to find a park to play at and the kids had a really fun time. I didn't get any good pictures of Tanner he found a friend to play with and was all over the place.

Then we headed to get some dinner before the game and met up with some friends from home (Provo) and had dinner at Oregano's. It was super yummy and then we headed back to watch the last game. It was fun and USU ended up winning in 4, and won the tournament. I had hoped it would just be 3 so we could have some time to visit and take her to get some birthday dessert, but I loved being able to watch Lori play. We had to get back home because Jason had to get back because he was headed back to Idaho early Sunday morning. I was so sad that we didn't get to spend more time together but it was so fun to see Lori. We only had 1 casualty for the entire day. During the game Paige was playing on the bleachers and took a tumble and hit her mouth on the bleachers. I think her tooth almost went through her lip but other than a lot of blood she was ok. She just was so sad and kept saying owie and pointing to her lip. It was pretty fat but healed pretty quickly. We love you Lori!

Cameron

We are so glad this little guy is here. Everyone is totally in love with him, and wants to hold him all the time.

He is really a good, mellow baby so far and loves to sit in his swing and look around...he isn't the best at sleeping. Sometimes its every 2 hours at night which isn't fun, but most of the time it's every 3 hours. We are adjusting to life with 4 kids as both our parents have gone and we are on our own. I can't believe that he is 2 weeks old today. We had a good friend take some pictures of him yesterday and I can't wait to see how they turned out. I will post some more when we get them

My Grandpa Wilson

Little did I know that within 1 year I would lose both of my grandpa's. I have been spoiled having both sets of grandparents alive for 30 + years of my life. Today was a tough day as I learned that Grandpa Wilson passed away. Talking to him on the phone and when we were in Utah visiting I always told him that he would be here when our new baby came and he just said we'll see. I thought for sure he wouldn't leave before I gave him permission I wasn't surprised when my mom and sisters told me that he had taken a turn for the worst. I had hoped that he would hold on till our baby came, so I could come to the funeral. But I was being selfish and I am glad that he is no longer in pain, and unable to do things that he loved to do. I know he is in a better place and pain free but I will miss him so much!

He was always there for me, watching my basketball games, taking us fishing, taking us camping, at almost every baby blessing, graduations, and even coming to visit when I was in Nauvoo. Loved giving him a hard time about race issues, political topics, and discussing photography, and loved that he called me Wils. Grandpa I will miss you and love you always!

Sprinkle

My cute friends threw my good friend Erin and I a little"sprinkle" to celebrate the upcoming birth of our new babies. We are due within 2 weeks of each and I think both of us didn't want any fuss made over us. But our friends wouldn't take no for an answer threw us the sprinkle. I had such a good time visiting and eating great food.

It was a little strange because I only had to take Paige with me. Kylie started preschool and with Tanner in Kindergarten so it was a little different. Made my time more relaxing and fun although Paige was pretty clingy and wouldn't let me put her down, she did have a good time helping me open presents and by the time we left she was comfortable enough to go and play by herself.

It was a nice break and I loved having the opportunity to visit with some friends that I don't get to see that often. Thanks ladies!

Kylie starts Preschool

Her first day of preschool, September 9th, 2009.

She has been so excited to start preschool. We had to wait until after Labor Day to begin and was she ever ready. She woke up at 6 am very unusual for her, and she was ready to go. I had a hard time making her wait until 9:00. We told her once she turned 4 she got to start preschool, and ever since she has asked weekly if it was time for preschool. We went to her open house last week and she seemed so comfortable. This morning she got her back pack and water bottle, picked out her outfit, and made sure her hair was just right. We took a few pictures and she was off!

She walked right in and didn't need me anymore. She didn't even want us to walk up the stairs with her, but I wanted to so she patiently obliged. So Paige and I left life will be very different with just Paige 3 days a week, (I guess it will only be a week since #4 is coming but still!) I hope Paige doesn't get too bored!

We got home and she played some alphabet express game, and then came up and fell asleep on the floor. She was all tuckered out!

What we have been up to....

I am trying to get our house put together before baby #4 arrives next week......yes next week it is a week early and there isn't any complaining from me. It is the only day that will work with Jason's busy crazy work schedule.

When Jason isn't in Idaho he was able to do a little of this on Labor Day.......
Kylie started her dance class again, sorry no pictures as we were late due to missing keys....later found in a toy bin. Gotta love 2 year olds!

We are still alive....barely

We are still here, just trying to settle into the new house before #4 makes his debut. I feel blessed to live in a place and always have lived places where I have such AMAZING friends. We couldn't have moved without all of their help. Jason has been traveling and all the packing was up to me. My friends came and when I felt totally overwhelmed took my kids, packed my house, fed us, and now have helped me get settled back in. Jason's work schedule has taken a really busy turn. I'm not complaining we have a job but the timing never seems to work out the way that it needs to. Just grateful for all the help and continued support of friends!
