Kylie's first tooth

Kylie came home from school on Friday and was excited that dad was home.  She asked him to pull her tooth out.  Jason checked to see if she even had a loose tooth and sure enough he said he could pull it out.  She was so excited and not long after out came her tooth.

She is getting so old!

Firsts

Chloe has already had her share of firsts.  She went to her first doctor appt. where all was well and she is growing well.  At 2 weeks she was already at 8'6 and measured 21 inches long.  (Knew she was longer than 19 inches)  She met her Grandma and Grandpa Headrick, along with a lot of her Headrick side cousins.  Had her first Thanksgiving....where I was a lousy mom and didn't take any pictures.  Except one of me and my sisters....hoping that Kim took some and will send them my way if she did...hint hint!  Was in her first extended family picture, and had our family pictures.  (which isn't a fun thing to have pictures taken 3 weeks after having a baby, don't want to do that again ever!)  Had her first bath which she loves.  Just doesn't like getting out.

She is a pretty good baby.  Doesn't like it when I eat anything dairy, or spicy.  I have had a really hard time with no milk, and not a lot of cheese.  And I don't get to eat pizza...which may be a good thing when it comes to my waist line.  She has her fussy times and really likes to be held which is hard when I am trying to get the other kids off to school, or fix dinner.  But over all is pretty good.

We are just trying to soak in these moments when she is small, because they grow so fast!

New Sister

The other kids didn't come to the hospital so when Chloe came home they got to meet her for the first time.  They were all so sweet with her, and already love her so much.  Cameron is my "helper" and will bring me diapers and wipes when I need them.  He loves her so much that sometimes we have to protect her.

The first couple weeks were interesting as Cameron contracted hand, foot, and mouth.  We kept him away from her, and the kids had to get coughs and colds as well as Jason.  We were lucky enough to keep her well.  And we are adjusting to having a newborn in the house again.

Chloe Dawn

We got a call at a little after 5 am to come into the hospital.  We got all ready to go called mom and were off.  It was a little strange going to a different hospital this time, I guess I was used to the hospital in Arizona.  I was excited though because this is where my dad works and where all my other sisters delivered their babies.  And for the first time I would have my sisters and parents see my baby right away.
We got all our paperwork signed and were admitted to the hospital and were taken to our room.  Where I was told many times that we got the best delivery room in the hospital.  It had a perfect view of Timp.  Unfortunately we didn't have much of a view that day because it was raining and really cloudy.  I was super excited to wear the gown my friend had made me...but the nurses wouldn't let me wear it because they didn't want the tie in the middle of my back they wanted it to be on the neck.  I was really sad and ended up having to wear the hospital issued.
Labor was progressing and we were hoping to have the baby at 11, just for fun 11-1-11 at 11. Well that didn't work as the doctor was called to check on another patient and I didn't get my water broken. But a little before 1 I was ready to have the baby. We were excited to meet our new little girl. She was born at 1:02 (really I think it was 1:01) she was a very easy delivery and weighed 8'2 and they said she was 19 inches long. She has really long fingers and toes, and is beautiful.

Halloween

This year Halloween was a gorgeous day.  Unlike last year where it rained and was freezing, and the kids went to about 3 houses and called it good.  We went to the school and watched Tanner and Kylie in the Halloween parade.  We didn't get any pictures due to a naughty 2 year old.  But it was still fun watching them.  I then spent the rest of the day trying to get ready for the baby to come.  Last minute preparations...cleaning, packing for the hospital etc.

That night we had our traditional mummy dog dinner, the kids were super excited because we got to go trick or treating with cousins.  It was so fun to watch them all together.  They had a great night and got lots of treats!
