Labor Day

We had a great Labor Day weekend, not as much action as we would have liked but still had fun. We were able to have cousins come stay with us. Mark, Randa and girls came and stayed a night. The kids had so much fun and didn't want them to leave. Glad that they came and visited with us for a night.

Jason really wanted to go camping but with his traveling the week before we didn't make it. So we headed up the canyon, had a little picnic and then went to Bridal Veil. The kids loved it! Why did it take us so long to get up there?

Getaway

When Jason told me that he had to go to Phoenix just for a couple of days for work...I said I'm coming too! I figured why not? A little break before the baby came and I could visit with some of the friends that I missed so much. We left really early Thursday morning, and then returned Friday night. I dropped Jason off at work and then I headed off to have fun. Some of my cute friends were kind enough together and had a fun lunch. It was so good to visit and catch up! I really miss my friends in Arizona....it made me think for just a minute what it would be like to move back. We had so many good times and memories there.
I met up with another friend at Coldstone and had a great time catching up with her. Then went to pick up Jason and met more friends for dinner. We enjoyed the evening, and went to the hotel and crashed. Getting up at 3:30 am doesn't sit all to well with this old prego!
Friday I slept in and had a lazy morning. Then headed to get Paige's and Cameron's birth certificates that I had never picked up. Then got some lunch and enjoyed just looking at a lot of stores that I never get to go to without kids. Then went to pick up Jason and headed home. I enjoyed the time away with Jason...next time not so short though!

First Day of Preschool

Paige has been so excited for preschool, and talked about it for the whole last year. Well today was her first day. I can't believe that she is old enough to go, but she did such a great job, I hope she has a great year with Ms. Holly!

While the kids are at school

we play! Paige and Cameron wanted to have a lunch packed like Kylie and Tanner so I thought it would be fun to have a picnic. We invited cousins and headed to the park. We had a great time!

First day of school

We were really excited/nervous about our first day of school this year. Once again we are at a new elementary school. And this year the kids will take a bus. (Mom was a little nervous about this one....although I love it now!) This is Tanner's 3rd school in 3 years, and Kylie's 2nd school in 2. Hopefully this trend will stop in the near future and we can settle down for a while.
Kylie couldn't sleep and was up at 5 in the morning. It is so unlike her as she is usually our longest sleeper...hence her nickname of Sleeping Beauty. She finally couldn't stand it much longer and jumped out of bed at 7:00. She couldn't have been more excited so I thought. I made eggs, and cinnamon rolls for breakfast (just Rhodes rolls), and had fruit...but she couldn't eat. I knew I needed her to eat something so we tried some cereal. No luck with cereal either in fact she almost lost the contents of her stomach.
Tanner on the other had was great, scarfed his breakfast down and was ready to go. I made them pose for a few pictures, and off to the bus stop we went. I could tell Kylie was nervous, and I was too I am not used to not taking them and dropping them off at their classrooms. I couldn't get her to smile for any of the pictures I took. I was so nervous for her, and kept my fingers crossed that she would make some friends and have a great first day. I made sure Tanner would help Kylie and look out for her, make sure she got to her class, and help her get to the bus at the end of school. Not sure how much he heard or cared as all her was worried about was playing with his friends.
But they made it through the day fine, got on the right bus coming home and survived the first day of school. It made for one very relieved mom....and the great part was they wanted to go back the next day!

Goodbye Cedar Hills

We got back from our vacation and had to finish getting ready to move. Yep we moved again....not so fun this time. We got back on July 29th and needed to be out of the house by the 31st. I had done some packing before, but still had quite a bit to do when we got home. We had some great help from family members, Kim, Trent, Ryan, and Taylor, showed up with a huge Uhaul as a joke! They were crazy but it helped out so much, we got all the big stuff taken over to the new house. And then we were able to get all the rest of the little things cleared out and cleaned over the next couple of days. I was so exhausted after that I couldn't feel my knees....not the best idea to wash the floor on my hands and knees at the end. Hopefully all the cleaning and hard work will lead to our deposit back.
We met lots of good friends and the kids loved there school, so it was a little difficult this time. # schools in 3 years for Tanner, and 2 in 2 years for Kylie. Kids are young and they adjust....hopefully this time they will have an easy transition and will make good friends quickly.
The owners of the house decided to sale it, and I have been having to show the house since February. It has been hard, but it was even harder to know that we had to move again...3 times in 3 years is a lot. We'll see how long we are in this one!
