Bye Bye Curls

Over Memorial day weekend we said goodbye to Cameron's long curly locks. We knew it was time to cut it because it was getting way too long, and he wouldn't let me comb it in the morning, and someone called him a girl. He wasn't quite sure what to think when he saw his reflection in the mirror. He looked patted his head and then started crying. He looks like such a big boy now! Plus his hair will be curly once again as it it growing back with quite the waves.

Trimble's visit

We were excited when the Trimble's were able to come over for a visit while they were on their vacation. The girls were so excited to see Hattie, and Ellie. We had a BBQ and then let the kids (including the dad's) play outside. It wasn't the greatest weather but the rain held off until they were getting ready to leave.
We sure miss our Arizona friends, but love to get the chance to visit with them when they come! Thanks for stopping by Trimble's

Spring Soccer

Kylie and coach Johnson
Like baseball, we had about 3 of our soccer games cancelled. They wouldn't make those up either super frustrating...but the kids did really well. Kylie got more confidence and did really well scoring a goal in almost every game. Still smiling as she was playing she really didn't let those bigger boys push her around. They even beat the team that they had lost to many times before and the kids and coaches were so excited (not that anyone keeps score!)
Tanner's team improved a lot, and he did well too. They didn't get beaten so bad every game, and it was fun to see Tanner be aggressive...sometimes too much but he always stood his ground.

Mudhens

We had a hard time keeping Cameron off the field, he wanted to be hitting and playing baseball just as much as Tanner did.

We had so much fun watching Tanner play baseball this past spring. The weather was a little on the crazy side, and we ended up not getting to play 3 games. The team ended losing their first tournament game which Tanner was really sad about, and after watching his cousins play this past week has expressed interest in playing more baseball! Yay, we love baseball! The team improved much throughout the season, and I was impressed with Tanner and how well he did. Tanner loved playing first base, and did really well stopping those balls, he also continued his love of sliding and did at almost every base. We were still trying to teach him that it's not necessary to slide into first...it stuck for a couple of games and then he went back to sliding. Hopefully next season he will remember!
So grateful for all the pictures, the coaches wife started her own photography business and took a lot of great pictures. I was busy chasing Cameron or the girls around and didn't get to take as many as I would have liked to. She did a great job....thanks!

Inch by Inch

Kylie had a great kindergarten teacher and she learned so much this past year. One of the many things that Mrs. Terry did was put on a talent show. It was lots of fun watching all the kids perform their various talents. Kylie first decided that she wanted to display some art. I asked her many times if that is really what she wanted to do and she was very sure that art was it. We got ready and she did a lot of practicing, a couple of days before the show she decided that she wanted to dance. Unfortunately her teacher had already made the programs and had the show all put together and I had warned her that she couldn't change her mind. She was a little disappointed but got over it pretty quickly.
Her art was super cute and I loved that she named it swirly. It was so fun to see her in her classroom with her friends performing and seeing all the amazing artwork that she has done for the last year!
Love you Kylie!
