Exciting News

We are excited to announce that baby #5 will make it's debut on or around the 5th of November. We are all happy and a little overwhelmed but are anxious to find out if another brother or sister will be joining our happy family :)

1st Grade Fieldtrip

Tanner's 1st grade fieldtrip was to the zoo. He was so excited to go, and the week before his homework assignment was to find an animal from the zoo, and learn all about it. He had a difficult time choosing but finally settled on the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. We had fun reading about it and finding pictures. We wrote a paper and then we made a poster about it with 5 facts about the snake.
He lucked out and got a beautiful day to go to the zoo. He loved telling us all about the animals he saw.
This past Monday I was able to go to his classroom and we heard all about the animals that each one of his classmates learned about. They could dress up as their animal and we walked around the classroom and got to push their button and have them tell us some of the interesting facts on their animal. It was such a cute idea and I think each of the kids had a great time sharing their knowledge.

Outside

The weather has bmeen a little on the wacky side this spring. We have had lots of rain, snow, and cool temperatures. Although far and few betweem there has been some decent days where we get to spend some much needed time in the sun. We love blowing bubbles, jumping on the trampoline, swinging and just being with our friends. Cameron and Elle love Cameron's Christmas present and this day decided that sharing wasn't so bad. We love it when we all get along!

Pictures of the kids

I figured that because I didn't get any pictures of my kids on Easter that I should take a few the following Sunday. We spent the day at my parents because Jason was gone for work and who wants to take all four kids to church by myself? We had a good time at mom's it was nice to have some adult company, and it wasn't bad to get some of my mom's yummy roast beef dinner either. Thanks mom you're the best!
I had a really hard time getting Cameron to stay put for a picture and Kylie has a fake smile, and well it 's just difficult to get them all looking at the same time, but I am glad that we got some though. I don't take enough pictures. They are growing up too quickly and even though there are days that I want to quit being a mom....I love them and wouldn't change anything for the world. I

Hammer + Phone

=broken

A certain unamed child decided that they would see what would happen when they hit mom's phone with a hammer.

Let's just say it doesn't make for a happy mom, and they get to help pay for a new one.

Easter

Easter was fun this year. We had a few firsts, and I was a real slacker and didn't do a very good job with pictures on Easter, I didn't even get any pictures of my kids with their church duds on. (I will blame it on being Fast Sunday and getting interrupted by fast offerings)
We had a great time dying Easter eggs. They really love it and I always think I do enough eggs but the kids always want more.

Cameron wasn't feeling well, he had a slight fever and sat on the couch watching Tangled while we colored eggs.

Sunday we got up, and the kids got their baskets. The girls got some bubbles and sidewalk chalk along with a Dora coloring book, and Kylie got a new reading book. Tanner was lucky enough to get sun glasses, and a Frisbee, and Cameron got some golf clubs. And of course they got plenty of sweet treats which they managed to quite a bit of before breakfast and church!

After church we headed to my mom and dads for our Easter dinner. This was the first time we have spent Easter with my family, Jason's first. We got spoiled as usual. My mom had an egg hunt for all the grand kids. They each got 16 eggs and they were hidden all over the backyard. Each child had their own color and they only look for their color. It worked really well and each child had the same number of eggs. Mom had some really cute prizes, their own box of sugar cereal, money, candy, a date with grandma and grandpa just to name a few.

Our Easter bunny cake.

Between soccer games we went to the Easter Egg hunt put on by the city. There were so many kids there it's amazing that my kids even got one egg. But they really had fun even if it just lasted for a couple minutes.
