Goodbye Arizona

I have had mixed emotions as I have packed up our house. We have had a wonderful 5 years living in Arizona. We have met such great friends. There have been so many kind deeds and I have learned so much by many of their examples. I truly will never ever measure up to the things they have done for me. 3 out of the 4 kids have been born there, we purchased our first house and learned so many great lessons. The list could go on and on. I think I can honestly say that I have a love hate relationship with Arizona. A couple of the things I will NOT miss is the LONG HOT summers, and of course the scorpions. I won't miss finding them on the floors or on the walls, or have to worry about one of the kids stepping on them.
Goodbye Arizona and hello to new adventures and making new friends. But please let us find a house soon!!

Kylie's early celebration

We decided that before we moved we would let Kylie have a birthday party. It was time and I had a friend graciously offer to let us have the party at her house. We took her up on the offer and had a fun get together for Kylie and her friends. We have some really great ones here and she will definitely miss them.

What a fun day! Look at those cute friends....we sure will miss them!

Paige

So yesterday we we told the kids that after dinner we would go swimming. We ate dinner and then told the kids to go get ready. Paige has decided that this year she doesn't like swimming or getting in the water and being the strong willed child that she is said she wasn't going. She refused to get her swim suit on and put it somewhere so we couldn't find it. We tried talking, bribing, nothing was working. Jason then told her if she didn't get her suit on she was going to stay home while the rest of us went. So she didn't get dressed and the family proceeded to get in the van. She stood at the door crying and waving to us. We needed to prove a point so we shut the garage and waited a few minutes (like we would really leave our 2 year old home alone!) and Jason snuck back inside. There she was on the couch sitting not even crying. He talked to her again and she still did not want her swimming suit on. She wanted to come and got in the car with her jammies on.

We got to the pool and she immediately started whining and said she wanted her swimming suit on, which we explained that she had her chance and she chose not to. Everyone was swimming and of course Paige got closer and closer to the water, and she ended up getting all wet and swimming with her pajamas on. What a Stinker....but a cute one!!

Kindergarten Graduation

Tanner is officially done with kindergarten. I was sitting in a rare moment of quietness the day before school was out and got very emotional I can't believe my oldest child is finished with kindergarten. I am amazed with how much he has grown this past year, he had a great teacher learned how to read, started learning addition and subtraction, his letters and numbers, and many more things that I can't even begin to list them all.

He was so excited for his promotion and talked about it for week. We got to see Tanner march in with all his classmates, and see him sing 2 songs. Then each child had their names read and they said what they wanted to be when they grew up. I fully expected Tanner to say a NASCAR Driver, or a Monster Truck driver so we were quite shocked when it was announced that he wanted to be a police officer. He was the handsomest kindergartner up there if I do say so myself.

What a great year and he is looking forward to being a big 1st grader!

Mothers Day

Okay so I got Kylie's preschool graduation out of order but I had a great Mother's Day. I was able to share it with my mom and dad and of course my awesome husband and great kids. We also got a "surprise" and got to have Lori and Ryan be with us for a day.

Very early Saturday mom and company pulled in I got them settled and headed to bed. Saturday we got up had breakfast and headed to Tanner's soccer game. Tanner greeted us with flowers Jason and Tanner met us at the field due to Father and sons and made it just in time for the game. Tanner was so excited to have his grandparents see him play soccer. We spent the rest of the day just relaxing, some of us went swimming and then we had a bbq.
Sunday mom and dad took Lori and Ryan to the airport and then mom came to Relief Society with me. It was fun to have her there on Mother's Day. We headed home and fixed some yummy kabobs for dinner with lots of other good stuff. We had a really fun and enjoyable day. I was so happy to be able to spend it with my mom and dad and my cute family. Jason had to leave that afternoon so we sent him off and then went for a walk, and made my dad play a game with us after the kids went to bed. We also enjoyed some yummy Blue Bell Ice Cream.
Monday came too fast and we took Tanner out of school and headed to McDonalds for a special treat. It was fun to see my kids so excited to eat lunch with my parents. We went home and took Tanner to school and said goodbye to my parents. We will see them soon!

Preschool Graduation

Kylie graduated from preschool. She loved preschool, she had a great time with Ms. Laura and I am sure Ms. Laura enjoyed Kylie I'm pretty sure she got a good laugh at something she said or did everyday.....especially when Kylie told her that Jason was the one that would french braid her hair. Or any one of my favorite Kylieisms. She is sad to be done but I know she is even more excited to start Kindergarten!
