Lazy Day

Yesterday was so nice, the weather was perfect and we didn't do much of anything....it started off kind of crazy with dance followed by soccer. Kylie is doing so well leI learning her dance to Lion King. I am excited to see her perform in June. And Tanner is LOVING soccer. I haven't had the chance to see him play the last two weeks but we were able to make it for 1/2 of the game yesterday and he loves to slide and hit the ball. Unfortunately he sometimes will trip the other kids around the ball and so the game had to stop while his coach and ref told him to stop sliding. I don't think that will be easy since the kid was made to slide....he slides in T-ball and has loved sliding playing soccer. We will just have to teach him to go for the ball only and not to hit other kids. I love watching him play he has lots of energy. I started taking pictures and forgot to watch Paige and she ended up on the field too, so maybe next time I will do better at the picture thing!
After the game we headed home and had lunch and I took a nice long nap while Paige was sleeping and Jason was watching basketball. After we went and enjoyed the nice day and went on a small bike ride and played at the park. After dinner we headed back outside and we stayed there till after dark. It was a great day and I would take many more days like this but I think there is a possiblity that we will reach 100 this week! Yuck so not looking forward to that. So I am just enjoying the perfect weather now.

Easter

We had a great Easter, although I wished we could have been with family it was a good day. We woke up and the Peter Cotton Tail left them. We rushed off to church and were actually on time for the 1st time in months! We got soft seats it was great.

We got home and we started the prep ffor our Easter dinner. Jason made his first pie, crust and all and was really proud of himself. We had a relaxing rest of the day, ate dinner, and then went for a walk.

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rain

It was raining this morning when we woke up which resulted in Tanner's cancelled soccer game. So we went as a family to dance, and then headed over to the HOA's annual Easter egg hunt in the gym. It was really crowded and a little chaotic but we had a good time. The kids loved getting Easter eggs, and Paige warmed up to the idea after seeing what was in them. They jumped in the bounce houses and then we took off. We had some grocery shopping to prepare for our Easter dinner, and then went home and watched Bolt. Tanner loved it, and afterwards we dyed Easter Eggs. They had so much fun and I guess I should have boiled more eggs because they were disappointed when they were all gone.

We had a good day and it was a nice change to have some rain and some cooler weather.

Caught red handed

We were sitting watching conference and I realized that Paige had been really quiet for a while. I asked Tanner to go look in her room and see if she was there. (Me being the lazy mom didn't want to get up!) He reported that she wasn't in her room that she was in the kitchen. I get up thinking that she is into something, and sure enough she found good stuff. She had pushed the kitchen table chair to the counter and climbed up and was helping herself.

I couldn't get her to smile....she had chocolate all over her hands too. Guess she inherited her mom's sweet tooth!

She is getting so big or she seems like she is anyway. I put her down for her nap this afternoon and she lays down on her pillow and has her cup of water, and her pink monkey, and I cover her with her blanket. I tell her I love her then she likes to call me back 2 or 3 times to finish her conversation. I rest my head on the crib and listen to her say gagaggaga. She really thinks she is communicating with me it is funny. But she won't let me leave until she is finished, and then I go and close the door and she sleeps.

There is a picture on my cell phone of her when she was a baby, and every chance she gets she takes my phone and shows me that baby. I try to convince her that the baby is her.....maybe one day she will get it.

Another great accomplishment was to get rid of her binky. Kim you would be so proud! She didn't even really miss it, maybe it was more of a crutch for me than for her but I am as glad that it is finally gone. She does just fine without it and hasn't had it now for a week. Now on to the potty training....hmmmm we'll see how that one goes!

I love my sweet moments with her, it totally makes up for the not so sweet ones. I love her so much, and can't believe that my baby is getting so big!

7 years

Monday was our anniversary. I can't believe that it has already been 7 years....Jason says its only been 7 years....and does he really have to renew the contract?
I am grateful for Jason and all that he does for us, and I am glad that he has a lot of patience to put up with me. He is a great dad and a wonderful husband I couldn't ask for more. He plans and makes sure that we will be okay in the future, puts our family first, and loves me! Here's to another eventful year.
We need to get more pictures together as I couldn't find any recent one. Guess we will have work on that one.We had planned to go out last Saturday, but took Tanner to a birthday party instead, and so Monday we just relaxed and really didn't do much. Jason gave me some makeup, and he is going to get some new basketball shoes. We are really exciting I know. We do get to go on a date tonight which will be really nice since we don't get to go out all that often.

Happy Anniversary!

Art

Kylie drew some really fun pictures in Sacrament meeting yesterday that I wanted to keep. She loves to draw and color its fun to see what she is going to come up with next.

Tanner

Here is a picture that my good friend took of our kids playing the other day. We have been enjoying the nice weather and have spent time outside playing at the park, watching Tanner's soccer practice, and doing yardwork.
We survived Jason being gone for a few days and had a good but busy weekend. When he got home we went and got Tanner's soccer stuff, and then went and watched the Pinewood derby. Tanner is so excited to be able to participate! Saturday Kylie had her dance class, Tanner had his first soccer game. He did great was really aggressive....maybe a little too much he was grabbing other kids jerseys. We will have to work on that! But had so much more fun than t-ball. Unfortunately I forgot the camera I will get pictures next time. Then we did a little grocery shopping, some yard work (I hate weeds!), and then went off to a birthday party at a little amusement park. Once again I forgot the camera....don't know what my problem is!
