#4

We are adding another Headrick to our family Sept. 26th, (knowing me it will be more like October but we'll see). I've done a pretty good job at keeping a secret but Jason on the other had has let the whole world know....I wanted to wait until I was at least 12 weeks till we spread the news. We went to the dr for the 2nd time today for my 12 week appt. and everything looks good, saw the heartbeat, and the baby is growing. We are really excited and Tanner has been praying for a brother.....guess we will wait in see in a couple of months!

Friday and Saturday

Friday we all slept in and took our time getting ready. And around 11 We went swimming, although it was a little too cold for me (Arizona really has me spoiled). After swimming we headed back to the villa for lunch while the rest of the fam stayed behind for some much needed sun time. They all went out for lunch at a seafood place....not my thing so I was happy to stay behind. And then went and played basketball and golf, and let the kids get really tired for bed. We had a big family dinner, my mom did a great job in planning meals, easy but good and we saved a lot of money. After dinner we put the kids to bed and had a fabulous time playing games. I haven't laughed as hard as I did that night for a long time. Even my dad joined in the fun. You should really try the bag game it was hilarious seeing my mom try to balance on 1 leg and pick up a bag with her mouth. Luckily she didn't fall over just ended up with a bag on her head. It was a fun night with a much needed ab workout.

Saturday everyone got up and started getting ready to leave, and then took off for Utah. It was sad that the week was already over Tanner always has a hard time at goodbyes and this one was no different. We got to go visit some good friends that we hadn't seen for a while. It was so fun to visit with them and see their cute families. We got up this morning packed the car and headed home. It is always nice to be home...but so grateful for my parents that planned and made this whole trip possible.

Wednesday and Thursday

Sorry no pictures....my dad still hasn't got them to me!

Wednesday we got up and went to Disneyland. It was cold and cloudy and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't that busy. We got on all the good rides with little or no wait. Kylie was so excited to wear her princess dress. It was funny how many people watched her and commented how cute. She was in heaven, although I didn't let her wear her light up princess shoes. The kids were good and Tanner had wanted to go on Splash Mountain since we told him we were going back to Disneyland. We went to Splash and I wasn't going to go so Jason and Tanner went, but Kim talked me into it riding so Trent, Kim and I went and I ended up in the front seat. I didn't think I was going to get that wet but boy was I WRONG!! I was drenched my pants were wet, my shirt was wet, and I ended up wet for the rest of the day. Half of the family left and we sent Paige back with Amy, Kim, and Mom and took the other 2 on some more rides. It was fun spending some time with Kylie while Tanner and Jason were on Thunder Mountain. We got popcorn to share and I had to make sure that I only got popcorn out of my side of the container. She was the popcorn nazi...funny girl! We went on Dumbo, the teacups, and Small World. We met up with Andrea's family and Dad and we saw the fireworks and got out of the park before the crowds. I was exhausted and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
Thursday we were back at Disney and we started at California Adventures and hit the Playhouse Disney show, Soarin, and Tower of Terror. It was the first time I had been on it and I loved it. The weather was nice but I skipped Grizzly Rapids. Everyone got really wet so I was glad that I missed that one. We brought our lunch in the park so we just ate while we waited for the other group to get off their ride. I had fun watching everyone go on Screamin, and Amy, Kim, Kenzie, and Steve go off Mailboomer. I loved watching them shoot in the air and watching their legs kick. California Adventures closed so we headed back to Disneyland for a few last runs. Jason took Tanner and went on the big rides while I took the crazy girls and went on a few tamer rides. We had a great time although I was ready for Jason to help me with the girls they were everywhere. I was ready to go so we left before the fireworks and hit Wendy's on the way back to the hotel. Tanner wanted to have a cheeseburger, fries, and chicken nuggets. He must be growing.
We made it back with a little drama.....Kylie didn't want to walk up the stairs she was tired. But was loving life when the kids were asleep by the time their heads hit the pillows.

Home again home again...

We just returned from a nice vacation in Southern California with my whole family. It was so much fun and it was great to see all of my sisters and my mom and dad. We left Sunday after church and believe it or not we ended up meeting Andrea (my sister) on the freeway unintentionally at the same time and followed each other to Newport Beach. We had 3 hotel rooms next to each other and we shared a suite with my parents. My kids were in heaven visiting with their cousins, and we got dinner and settled in for the night.

Monday we got off to a slow start and hung out at the condo, the kids played at the basketball courts, and played golf while we went shopping to get stocked with food for the week. We went to Crystal Cove and let the kids get a taste of the ocean, and then headed back and grabbed a bite to eat at Baja Fresh. We had a little mishap and Jason backed the van into a pole and scratched the van. I thought it was going to be a lot worse then in ended up being. Most of the yellow paint came off. And it isn't dented too bad. Afterwards we headed back and had FHE that dad had put together. It was cute and the kids loved it. For our treat we had a belated birthday party for Tanner and Aiden. We had cake and ice cream it was so yummy.

Kylie got a little too close to the birthday cake

Tuesday we headed to Huntington Beach and had a fun lunch at Ruby's on the pier. It gets a little crazy with 12 kids and 12 adults but it worked out. Afterwards some went shopping and we headed to the beach even though it was a little cold. The kids and Steve headed straight for the water. I was surprised Tanner even got in and had a great time and got in the water. Paige did a 180 from last time and was digging in the sand and running around. She ended up falling asleep on my lap. We went back to the villas and had a BBQ with good old Moroni Turkey, rolls, salad and rice. It was always pandemonium as we tried to cram 24 people in a small area but the memories will be well worth it.

My dad took a lot more pictures hopefully he can get them to me soon!

February

Can't believe February is almost gone....I haven't done really well at keeping this updated just been out of the blogging mood lately. Hopefully in March I will do better. We are looking forward to spending a week in Southern California with my family. It will be lots of fun going to the beach, and Disneyland (yes I convinced Jason that it was necessary for us to go again!) and just relaxing with my sisters my mom and dad, and having a good time. My kids are so excited to see their cousins again too.
We registered Tanner for kindergarten today....seems so crazy and I was shocked that school starts so early this year August 10th. We will be barely back from the Headrick family get together. Which we are really excited about as well since we haven't really been to Bear Lake before. It will be so nice to get out of the heat and enjoy some fun lake time.

Kylie loves to dress herself, and I really have a hard time with it. I know I should just let her dress herself so she can learn but she hardly will wear any of the clothes I buy her. One day I asked her to go and get dressed and this is what she came out with
It's not that it doesn't match but her leggings were inside out, and the shirt that she loves needs a shirt underneath....but I guess I shouldn't care at least she was dressed right! Its just that if lived any where else but in AZ she would be freezing. And I love that she has to always fix her own hair. When she does she usually uses about 8 barrettes and puts them all down the sides of her hair. Last night for FHE that is exactly what she did and she was so proud! Guess that is all that really matters is that she is happy with her style.

The other morning I was going about cleaning up after breakfast when I noticed Paige "changing" her babies diapers. It was pretty cute I love that she is so sweet with babies and loves to take care of them. Anytime we go anywhere and she sees a baby she yells baby baby. I forget that she really isn't a baby anymore!

Happy Birthday Tanner

Tanner turned 5 on the 17th. What a priviledge I have to be a mom to this sweet boy. I can't believe where the 5 years have gone......

For Tanner's birthday we had a family party and he chose to go to Chuck E Cheese. He had a great time playing the same game for the whole time (a nascar racing game) and Kylie was scared of Chuck E and spent her time crying under the table....and Paige was fine until she saw Kylie crying and decided to join in. Mom and dad loved seeing Tanner have fun but couldn't wait until the tokens were all gone so we could leave! We went home and had cake and ice cream and then opened his presents. He had a great day and is so excited to be 5 and start kindergarten this coming August!

Happy Birthday Tanner we love you!!

My girls

Oh how I love my two girls. I am sitting here at the computer listening to them talk, laugh, and be silly. Maybe it wouldn't be so cute if I really knew what they are doing...but I think I will wait for a minute and just listen. Jason went to check on them the other night and Kylie was "reading" stories to Paige. How I hope that they can develop a friendship like I did with my sisters. I was so worried for a while because Kylie was being so mean to Paige but it seems to have changed the last couple of weeks.

Every morning when I get Paige up she is immediately asking for Kylie. She absolutely adores her and it is so fun to see her want to be just like her. Kylie loves princesses and has given her love of them to Paige. It's so funny now to watch Paige get so excited to watch Ariel, or Ariel's Beginning....she sits on the couch right by Kylie and will sit and watch. Paige is the best helper she loves helping me unload the dishwasher, and put the folded clothes away, and loves to push the kitchen table chairs to the counter to help me and to get her binkie's off. She is such a daddy's girl, and every time she gets hurt she runs to her dad to make it all better. And after Jason gets home from work or a work trip all she wants is him...and won't leave his side.
Kylie has such a cute contagious laugh....she is so dramatic and has a great imagination. Today she was word girl, and anytime I called her Kylie she would remind me that she was word girl and make sure I called her that. She loves to dress up, and would wear her princess dresses all the time if I let her. She doesn't like pants or shorts and would lots rather wear a dress or skirt "that she can dance in". She says some of the funniest things although right now I can't think of any. But she is so silly and funny I can't imagine one day without her. She loves to help me make anything whether it's a sandwich or cookies, bread, or whatever she loves to be with me helping me.
I am so glad that these two girls have each other and hope that they can be the greatest friends!
