4 Months

Can't believe my baby is now 4 months old!  She is such a cutie we all are completely in love with her.  She is now rolling over from her tummy to her back.  She laughs but usually only when we tickle her but it is so cute.  She smiles all the time, and is grabbing everything from our hair, to toys and loves to touch our face.  She grabs her toes and loves to be without her clothes on.  She still loves her bath time, and is an awesome night time sleeper.  She doesn't like to take more than a 40 minute nap during the day though but really can't complain about how well she sleeps at night.

We took her to her 4 month check up and her stats are:  length 26.5 inches, 14 lbs 13 ounces, and her head is 42.4 cm.   She still loves her pink bear and goes to bed and naps with it covering her face.

We sure love our little Chloe!

Keep my mouth shut

I reserved the church for the whole day on the 3rd so after Tanner's lunch the Headrick side of the family had a little get together because Jason's mom was able to be in town. It was fun to let the cousins play together and good to visit with Jason's sisters and brother. We just let the kids run and play and the adults visited. Jason's mom treated us to some Cafe Rio for dinner.

Our niece Emily had broken her arm earlier in the month and I was talking to her dad commenting that we had been lucky and hadn't had any broken bones or even stitches. Boy I really shouldn't have said anything!! Andrea had taken Cameron to her house to give him a nap, since he had a bad cold and croup. He woke up and she brought him back to the church. I was trying to keep him away from the other kids so we then headed home to change out of his church clothes and got him a few of his cars to play with. We made it back to the church and within 10 minutes he came running into the gym crying with blood all over his face. I still don't know exactly what happened but the theory was that he either got hit by a door opening, or ran into a door. Unfortunately we had to head to the ER and Cam had to get 6 stitches on his forehead.

Luckily we didn't have to wait too long at the ER, and they got him in. He was very upset and didn't want anything on his head. He was angry that he had to have a wrist bracelet, and the admitting nurse said that most likely he would have to be sedated because he was so agitated. He calmed down until we had to put the numbing solution on his forhead for 1/2 an hour. I didn't do well and he got it off. Jason took over and we were able to keep it on. But we debated whether or not to sedate him, I had my doubts but Jason really didn't want to have to so we tried to do it without. The nurses wrapped him in a sheet and he was SO angry. Screaming in his hoarse voice no, no, no. His cry was so sad, more like a little wimper it actually was so cute. They had to hold his head and he was so sad. We were trying everything to keep him calm to avoid the sedation, and I finally thought to sing his favorite song as a baby...it goes like this.

How I love my little Cameron, sweet and precious little Cameron. How I love my little Cameron honest to goodness I do. Sleep tight, sandman a coming in to see you, mighty, mighty, soon and if you don't cry, he'll be coming by with a great big lollipop moon.

We sang it about 3 times and he fell asleep. It was kind of funny because there he was screaming and then Jason and I are singing...mind you we don't have the best singing voices but everyone at the desk outside our room was watching the whole thing. He got so relaxed and quiet so quickly it was amazing. The doctor that stitched him up teased us and said that when he got off if he had a hard time falling asleep he would call us and we could sing him to sleep too.

He woke up as soon as we got to the car, got him a slush and was good to go! I guess not too bad for our first ER visit. Just hope that we don't have to go anytime soon!!

It's great to be 8

Tanner has been so excited to be baptized.  He had been thinking/talking about it for months.  So when the day came he was super excited.  He was the only one from our ward to be baptized so we had the opportunity to plan the whole program.  It turned out so nice and I hope that he can remember the day forever.  We had so many members of our family there it was so special.  Grandma Headrick came from California, and I couldn't have gotten everything done without her help!

Uncle Robb, Grandpa Wilson spoke about baptism and the Holy Ghost, and Jason was able to baptize and confirm him .  He was so happy and I know felt so loved that day.

We reserved the gym in our church building so we could celebrate Tanner's big day.  He chose to have taco's and sugar rice...and for dessert brownies smothered with marshmallow's and chocolate frosting.
I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked to but we did get a few.

Cub Scouts

Tanner was so excited to start scouts.  I got his uniform and book just in time for his first activity, he loves it!

Dinner and Dance Party

While Kim was in town we had a fun Sunday dinner that included a little dancing. We had lots of fun dancing adults and kids. We missed Mom and Dad and Andrea's family...but we will have to do it again!

Wow this looks familiar!  Jason found Sienna in the sink....funny girl!

Tanner is 8

Happy Birthday to my super smart, crazy, sporty, Tanner.  He had been counting down the days till he turned 8 for the last year.

He started the day with his favorites, cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage, orange juice and eggs.  Then off to school he went.  It was his turn to be spotlight for the week, and we made his poster (love my new silhouette!) and I brought Krispy Kreme doughnuts for his treat. I loved seeing him in his class interacting with his classmates.  He actually got really quiet and shy when we started talking about him.  Which is very unusual for him.  I don't see him being quiet and shy in class, and I am sure his teacher hasn't seen him that way either!
Some of Tanner's favorites:  Loves reading Magic Tree house Series, Geronimo Stilton, as well as anything about animals, and finds history interesting.  Loves sports of all kinds,  right now soccer, baseball, basketball, and football.  Loves playing the wii or anything electronic.  Loves his friends, and cousins.  Enjoys seeing his grandparents and spending time with his dad and sometimes mom.
Jason was out of town that week and got back just in time for Tanner's birthday. Tanner was so excited to see him when he got home from school. It was a nice day and his friend came over and they had so much fun outside. Tanner wanted to go to Cafe Rio for dinner so when he had enough playing outside we headed to dinner. It was super yummy and the kids all had a great time, we went home and Kim and kids, and Taylor came over and we had chocolate cake with chocolate icing.

Happy Birthday TJ!
