Potty Training

Kylie has decided that using the big girl potty is much better than diapers. I have been dreading the whole potty training thing again...it seems like we just finished with Tanner. But fingers crossed this has been a more pleasant experience. She is doing so well and to think just going to the store to buy 1 set of diapers....heaven. It's been 2 1/2 years since we have only had to buy 1 set of diapers and to think we were buying 3 different sizes 6 months ago wow!!!

No accidents today so hopefully she will keep this up!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Today was a great day Paige slept in till 7:00 and then went back to sleep until 8:00. I got up and got breakfast ready and then the kids woke up and we had an Easter Egg hunt. And they checked out their Easter Baskets. They got some candy and Tanner got a Scooby-Doo DVD and Kylie got a Barbie movie, some sand and water toys. Paige got a couple of new outfits.

Finding eggs

Paige's first chocolate encounter

Then it was off to church, we left super early but still ended up in the overflow on the hard chairs. Our ward is getting so big I can't believe it. I ended up out over half the time Paige would not settle down for a nap. Kylie broke out with a rash so Jason ended up leaving Sacrament to get some benadryl for her. So church was crazy as usual.

Not the best picture but we had a hard time getting all kids to look and hold still.

We got home and enjoyed daddy time. Jason had to leave this morning for Vegas again. So we just spent the afternoon together. We had a simple dinner of ham, "funeral potatoes" and fresh fruit. It was nice day!

These are some pictures from a Easter egg hunt at the park with our good friends.

Wicked Girls Trip

Every woman should have a girls only trip with a bunch of friends. We had such a great time thanks everyone!! Friday started off really early I had to get up to get Lori to the airport. We left at about 5:30 so I could get her to the airport and be back for my 7:00 ride. Lori's flight didn't leave until 8:00 (which actually left later due to a delay) so I am grateful that she was so willing to be flexible!! We made it to the airport at about 6:30 and then I literally raced back home thinking "go civic go" and "please don't let me get pulled over right now!!!" I still didn't quite make it there on time because I had to stop at home and grabbed my stuff, gave kisses to my favorite kids (including Jason!!) then off to LA! We drove to the outlets outside of Palm Springs spent a good 3 hours there from then on it was shop shop shop!!

We got to our hotel to freshen up and I needed to change clothes then off to the theatre. We walked to a little Italian restaurant and ended up having to sit in 3 groups. It was a bummer that we all had to be split up but the service was fast and the dinner yummy. I tried something new and shared with Leslie we had pumpkin raviloi it was surprisingly really good. We walked back to the theatre and got seated for the show. I was so excited to see it and it was better than I had expected. I loved Elseba she had an amazing voice. But sitting down in the darkened theatre made it difficult for me to stay awake. Even though I had a hard time staying awake I want to go see it again with Jason.

The girls

We headed back to the hotel and went to bed I was roomies with Brooke, and Olivia. I was so tired but got to bed and started laughing. And really for no reason at all. It took me a while to fall asleep but when I did I was out.

Eating breakfast at the Beverly Center The girls getting ready for some H&M

I think everyone got something here, it was so much fun I could have bought a lot more!! Jason is really relieved that I didn't, then it was time for 4 of us to head home. The rest of the die hard shoppers headed on to the district. I headed home to see my family seeing how I hadn't seen Jason for long due to him getting home at 11:30 Thursday night and heading back out of town Monday. Really really fun thanks again everyone!!!

Home again

I don't think we will be going to Utah again any time soon. I don't know what it is but lately everytime we are there I get sick. It was such a bummer I ended up wasting 3 whole days of doing fun things. Oh well I think the kids had a good time and the best part was Lori was able to come back to Arizona with us! I was in heaven she is so awesome..here is a quick run down of the week

Monday- we were super lazy and we just hung out at home for most of the day, although we did go on a bike ride and have a picnic at the park. Then we came home and got ready and had dinner at Chipotle and headed to the baseball game. We sat on the lawn and watched the Padres and Rangers play.

Tuesday- needed to do some major grocery shopping so we ran to Sam's and then Fry's and came home and fixed lunches and headed to Scottsdale to do some shopping. It was fun until the very end when Kylie decided that she was done shopping and started screaming at the top of her lungs in the store mind you! I took them out so Lori could enjoy her Urban Outfitters shopping experience peacefully.

Wednesday-We went to the park and mainly just stayed home..then Lori watched my kids while I went to YW activity. We were supposed to go see the temple pageant but ended up playing games outside. It was lots of fun although it's pretty pathetic that I couldn't play soccer for more than 5 minutes without my lungs feeling like they were on fire!! I had a fun time even though my toenail got bent back, and my toes felt like they were broken. (Guess I shouldn't have played in flip flops!) Then when I got home Lori helped me roll chicken rolls for my dinner exchange. We went to bed really late!!

Thursday- We got up and went on a jog...it about killed me but I couldn't let my younger sister beat me (even though she did!) then we had lunch and headed to the pool for a swim. It was really nice the water was the perfect temperature. Then I had to give one of my new beehives her personal progress book and welcome her to our class so we all got in the car and they stayed in the car while I did that and then we headed back to Target to get a few items. I found a new dress and skirt while I was there so it was a pretty succesful trip. We got home made the chicken roll gravy, for the dinner exchange and I got the kids to bed and then rushed off to exchange the meals and then back home to get ready for my trip. Then I waited up for Jason who had been in Vegas for work all week to get home so we could see each other for a minute before bed.

Crazy but fun week...hope Lori had a good time I already miss her!

Utah....again

Not saying that I don't like coming....but we have been here a lot lately. We left late Saturday and managed to run into a terrible snowstorm from Beaver all the way to Santaquin. I was so glad that I didn't have to drive and it just reminded me one of the reasons that I love Arizona...I don't have to drive in snowstorms. We got to my mom's at about 10:00 and the whole family was there eating pizza after Trent's volleyball game. It was so fun to see the kids so excited to see cousins, and aunts and grandma. We were just happy to be out of the car and not driving in snow!

Sunday we slept in (I mean Jason) and then got ready for church and suffered through another Sacrament meeting. The kids were crazy..and it's always during the sacrament. Tanner throws a fit if he can't lay down, and then Kylie doesn't want me she wants her dad and so on. The real kicker was Tanner took a small drink and then managed to spill his water in the water tray in the other cups. So Jason had to take them and dump them out so other people didn't have to drink his spit. And then after the sacrament things always seem to get a little better. Lori came and kept Kylie entertained and Tanner actually fell asleep. I just feel bad for the people behind us...they were probably thinking get those kids under control!! Oh well I try my best it's hard when you have stubborn kids. After church we went to get Jason's car from the rental place and they closed 1/2 an hour earlier. We drove around trying to find him another car but you've got to love Happy Valley everywhere was closed on Sunday. We got back to mom's and had dinner and everyone came over for dessert yummy! Dad was coming home from his Guatamala trip and we were trying to keep mom busy so she wouldn't worry. His plane was delayed and he got home 2 1/2 hours late. He had forgotten his phone charger so he couldn't get ahold of anyone. He finally made it home at midnight.

Monday morning I took Jason to get his rental and then he took off for Rock Springs. Got back to mom's and found out that Kim was having contractions!! Yay we were so excited, while waiting for news from Kim Grandma and Grandpa Wilson came over. They are so cute I love them. Grandpa wanted to talk to Kylie and see Paige, but Paige was such a stinker wouldn't let him hold her. And of course Tanner and Kylie were being silly...and Kylie being the stinker was screaming. What will I do with her?

Kylie and Great Grandpa Wilson

Aiden Hans Sorensen was born a little after 1:00 pm and weighed 8 lbs 4 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. We were excited and headed off to the hospital to let the kids see him through the glass at the nursery.

Carter, Kylie, Brevin, Hunter and Tanner playing Simon says with Taylor waiting to see baby Aiden

Tuesday we started off the day excercising. Amy, Mom and I did aerobics. Then Tanner and Kylie had a hair cut. A much needed one I might add Tanner's hair was so long. Then we went shopping at the mall had lunch first then off to Baby Gap. I got Paige a cute Easter dress not the one I really wanted (couldn't fork out the money for a baby dress!)...and then a hair bow to match. Andrea had a dress for Kylie that was Kenzie's and they match. So cute and Kylie loves it (added bonus since she is getting picky about her clothes lately!) It was a fun day with the cousins.

Today started a little too early for me. Kylie ran and got into bed with me at about 1:30 and I couldn't back asleep. My stomach was upset so I ended up sleeping on the floor next to the toilet for most of the rest of the night. It was no fun!! I hate getting sick and especially when I want to go and see my new nephew!! Today we did a lot of nothing. I was able to talk to my friend on the phone and to talk to my long lost cousin too. It was the highlight of my day!! I am just hopeing to go to bed tonight and not have to make anymore trips to the bathroom!!

The kids have had a hard time falling asleep, and then staying asleep I went to check on them and found this. I was in heaven I had a bed to myself for 1 whole night!

Thursday and Friday were not too enjoyable for me I was sick and not feeling too well. It was so nice that my sisters and dad took the kids to the park for a picnic lunch on Friday. It was a nice break for them and me. Thanks Andrea, Amy and Dad!! And the best part of the whole day was when Jason got back from Rock Springs we were super excited to see him.

Saturday I was feeling much better and Jason and I were able to go to the temple. It was so nice and very much needed. Afterwards we all went out to dinner. We tried to go to Red Robin so Lori, Mom and Dad could come before Trent's volleyball game but the wait was 2 1/2 hours for 10 people so we decided to do something different. I was sad that not everyone could be there but we went to Ruby River steakhouse instead. We had to bring our kids and I was very pleased at how well they were behaving. We had a good time visiting with Andrea and Steve, and Amy and Mike.

Lynzee and Paige

Sunday we went to church and left to come back home. Of course Lori came with us yay!!

Tanner

We were able to celebrate Tanner's 4th birthday February 17th. I can't believe he is getting so old. He is such a good boy and I am amazed at how quickly he is learning things. He is so good at sports, and loves his sisters and Paige especially adores him. He helps me when I ask and is a good listener. He loves cars and monster trucks he told me that for his party he wanted a blue monster truck cake wanted blue hats, plates, pinata, etc. I had a hard time with some of the requests but we tried to accomodate a few of then at least. I feel so blessed to be Tanner's mom and to have such a great boy!

He was one busy birthday boy and got to have 3 different parties one with just his family, one with friends and one with cousins.

Hope you had a great 4th birthday.....love you tons!!
